Ch 1
April 2000

Westlife was in the US for the first time and were working hard to break into the US market. They were in their second stop, Texas, and had a two day break so they were going on a trip to Mexico which was a little over two hours from where they were staying. Once they got over the boarder they stopped in a small town to look around and take some pictures. Mark was wandering around the town square and stopped to look at the small local church. ‘Is the church that interesting?’ Came a voice behind him. Mark turned to see a girl around his age looking at him. ‘It is interesting.’ ‘All the churches around here look the same.’ She said smiling. ‘Well... this is my first time in Mexico so this is all new to me.’ ‘Ah... a tourist.’ ‘Not quite... I’m actually in a musical group. We had some time off before our next show in Texas and wanted to visit Mexico.’ ‘Where are you from? You defiantly don’t have an American accent.’ ‘I’m from Ireland. Sligo actually.’ ‘Hey Marky!! Who you taking to?’ Kian asked walking over. ‘Umm....’ ‘I’m Yuriko. I was just telling Mark about the buildings.’ ‘I’m Mark’s band mate, Kian.’ He said extending his hand. ‘How many of you are in the band?’ ‘There are five of us. The other three are over in that shop.’ Kian said motioning to a small store across the street. ‘If you guys want a tour I can show you around.’ ‘Thanks, that would be great.’ Mark said as Kian nodded. For the next hour Yuriko showed them around the small town and at the end pointed out interesting things in the surrounding towns. Half way through the tour Kian wandered off and a grin crossed Mark’s face. ‘You like him don’t you?’ He asked suddenly. ‘Huh?’ ‘You fancy Kian.’ ‘I hardly know him-’ ‘Just so you know he is single and looking.’ Mark and Yuri exchanged phone numbers and addresses and planned to stay in touch. She was going to try to make it to the concert in Texas. Even though they had a busy schedule while in the US Mark kept in touch with Yuri and they became close friends.

Ch2
January 2001

Nicky sat at his computer looking at his latest e-mails. For the last two months had had been writing to Lusia. He had met her on a Westlife site, even though they talked frequently he had not told her who he really was. In an hour he was going down to the hotel lobby to meet her. Nicky shut off the computer then went to go get ready. An hour later he walked into the lobby with a hat pulled over his face. He looked around and then took a seat by the phones and waited. About 10 minutes later a girl came rushing through the door and looked around. When Nicky saw her he knew it was Lusia. He stood up and she smiled and walked over to him. ‘We finally meet, Nicholas.’ Lusia said extending her hand. ‘Hi Lusia.’ ‘Sorry I’m late, traffic.’ ‘Want to go get something to drink?’ ‘Sure.’ They walked into the hotel restaurant and took a seat in an empty corner. After they ordered drinks Nicky finally rook off his hat as Lusia’s jaw dropped. ‘I’m sorry I didn’t tell you who I was but I like people to get to know me for me not just a lad in Westlife. Are you mad?’ ‘Not mad, just suprised. Do you go online and talk to fans often?’ ‘Once in a while. You just happened to spark my interest.’ ‘That is a shock. I’m just a normal girl.’ ‘That’s what caught my interest. It gets dull being around celebrities all the time.’ Lusia and Nicky talked for hours and planned to meet the next day to go to a movie.

Ch 3
November 2001

Nicky turned on his computer happily and signed online. He saw Lusia online and quickly sent her a message. ‘Lusia, I have some great news.’ He typed in as a huge smile crossed his face. ‘Well... what is it?’ She answered half smiling. ‘I met a girl today, I think she’s the one.’ He said with a huge grin. ‘When?’ ‘Today, when we were at the airport. I was waiting in line for a coffee and she bumped into me.’ ‘Wow... that’s great.’ She said with her smile fading. Over the last nine months Lusia had fallen in love with him but now she knew he only saw her as a friend. ‘Yea, her name’s Elaine. She was at the airport dropping a friend off.’ ‘So... is she from London?’ ‘Yea, we are going out for dinner tonight.’ ‘Good luck.’ ‘I’m going to go get ready, I’ll send you an e-mail and tell you how everything went.’ ‘Ok, good night.’ Lusia turned away from her computer and looked out the window. Nicky shut off the computer and hurried around the hotel room looking for clothes to wear. After almost 30 minutes of searching he settled on a pair of faded jeans and light blue dress shirt. As he was about to go in the shower there was a knock on the door. ‘Nix, how’s it going?’ Shane said through the joining doors of their rooms. ‘All right, I’m just getting ready.’ ‘I’m sure you’ll have a great time.’ Shane said before heading down to the hotel restaurant with the other lads. An hour later Nicky came down to the lobby and Bryan motioned for him to go over to the table. ‘You take so long to get ready.’ Shane said looking at his watch. ‘Hey I want to look good.’ ‘You better hurry up or your going to be late.’ Kian said motioning to the clock. ‘See yea later, wish me luck.’ Nicky hurried out and got a cab to a restaurant a few blocks away. When he got to the restaurant Ellie was waiting outside. ‘Sorry I got a little distracted by the lads.’ He said as they walked in to get a table. Over dinner they both loosened up and talked about themselves and their future plans. They both had a lot in common and seemed to click really well. After dinner they parted and Nicky asked her to be his date to a CD release party in two days. Ellie agreed and he would call her and let her know what time he would pick her up. At the release party they were the talk of the crowd, everyone wanted to know about the new couple. During the party they answered questions from reporters before going into a side room to relax. ‘Sorry about all the reporters.’ Nicky said flopping down on a chair. ‘I think I’ll live.’ Ellie said half smiling. ‘How do you deal with them all the time?’ ‘I try not to.’ He said laughing. ‘The party has been fun so far.’ ‘It has been because I have great company. Most of these parties are the same old thing, they get dull very fast.’ ‘The other guys seemed to be having a good time.’ ‘They can have a good time anywhere. Bryan keeps everyone entertained.’ Nicky and Ellie continued talking for awhile before rejoining the party.

Ch 4
December 31, 2001

‘It’s New Years! I love a good party.’ Bryan said as everyone got settled into their hotel rooms in London. ‘So... how many parties do we need to go to tonight?’ Kian asked sorting through his clothes. ‘We need to go to three.’ Shane said lugging his bag into the next room. ‘Where’s Marky?’ Bryan asked. ‘He stayed at the airport. Yuri was flying in today.’ Kian said. ‘Yuri?’ ‘The girl he met in Mexico. Bryan, he only talks about her all the time.’ ‘Maybe to you. That’s the first time I’ve heard that name in a long time.’ ‘I agree with Bryan.’ Nicky said as he looked up from the computer. ‘So... Nix, which girl are you bringing?’ Shane asked raising an eyebrow. ‘Which girl? I only have one girlfriend.’ He said typing away. ‘It doesn’t seem like that.’ Bryan said grinning. ‘Lusia and I are friends. Why do you guys make a big deal about that? Mark and Yuri are friends.’ He said defensively. ‘You just said you haven’t heard her name in a long time.’ Kian said trying not to laugh as Nicky shot him a look. ‘I haven’t but their friends.’ ‘I think Lusia is a great girl and would make a decent girlfriend.’ Bryan said turning on the TV. ‘Then you can ask her for a date. I’m in love with Ellie.’ Nicky snapped. ‘Geez.... Nix we’re just playing.’ Bryan said as he settled on a movie station that was showing “The Faculty”. About 20 minutes later Mark and Yuri came trudging down the hallway with their bags. ‘Hi guys.’ Mark said cheerfully. ‘Hi.’ Nicky mumbled. ‘What’s his issue?’ ‘We were making fun of him and he got mad. Hi Yuri, how was your trip?’ Kian asked helping her with her bags. ‘Ok, it was a long flight.’ ‘That’s true. I think your rooms across the hall let me help you with those.’ Mark had a huge smile on his face as he sat on the bed. ‘What are you happy about?’ ‘Them, they are getting along so great. I hope this goes as I planned it.’ ‘Your trying to set Kian up? He’ll kill you. Plus he just got out of a relationship.’ Shane said from his spot in the doorway. ‘Darn... I didn’t even think about that. Now I’m going have to think about another plan.’ Mark grumbled grabbing his bag and heading to his room. A little less then four hours later they were all at a record party in downtown London. Nicky was now in a much better mood since Elli was with him. Lusia was also there sitting at a table with Shane and Bryan. ‘I think you should move on.’ Shane said softly. ‘Huh?’ ‘It’s obvious your attracted to Nicky. Your a great girl and you shouldn’t be waiting around for Nicky.’ ‘Shane’s right. Let’s see.... who would yea like to meet?’ Bryan asked as Kian came over to the table sulking. ‘She’s here with him.’ He grumbled motioning to the dance floor. ‘Damn... that guys is ugly.’ Bryan said making a face. ‘Wow... that made me feel better.’ ‘Ki, you and Lusia can sulk over here. I’m going to get a drink, Shane?’ He nodded and followed Bryan to the bar. ‘What are they talking about?’ Kian asked Lusia. ‘Their telling me I need to get over Nicky.’ ‘Ah... the same people that are telling me to get over Kelly. They both haven’t been in relationships in awhile. Don’t pay any attention.’ Kian said looking back out to the dance floor in disgust. Lusia nudged Kian as Mark came walking over with a smirk. ‘Are you gonna ask Yuri for a dance?’ Mark asked grinning. ‘Mark, don’t get me wrong Yuri’s a great girl but I’m not over Kelly.’ Kian sighed looking back to the dance floor with tears starting to fill up his eyes. ‘I’m not trying to start a relationship, it’s just a dance.’ ‘Then will yea leave me alone?’ Kian asked standing up. ‘Maybe, you better be nice.’ Mark yelled after him as Kian made his way over to the bar where Yuri was talking to Ellie and Nicky. ‘Yuri, would you like to dance?’ Kian asked. ‘I’d love to.’ She said following him onto the dance floor. A few minutes later Nicky and Ellie joined them on the dance floor as they all had a few laughs watching Bryan trying to break dance. For the remainder of the night everyone had a good time and the next day they were heading back to Ireland for a short break.

Ch 5
July 1, 2002

Kerrie laid out on the beach laughing with her best friend Sherina. The girls lived in a condo in LA Sherina was an aspiring artist who was working for Kerrie at the moment, and Kerrie was a now world famous photographer. To look at Kerrie would would never know that she had work on the walls of all the hippest restaurants and stores as well as taking the best magazine covers, she just turned 23 but had been a professional photographer when she was 15. Her first job was her high school photographer’s assistant and from there she became a free lance photographer for many New England magazines. By the time she graduated high school several magazine’s had her traveling to get shots for them. When she turned 20 she got her big break going to New Zealand to take pictures while Lord of the Rings was being filmed. Kerrie was dating Heath Ledger and Sherina was single. ‘Hey Ker, don’t you have the photo shoot with that Irish group this afternoon?’ ‘Yea, I do.’ She said turning over on her stomach. ‘Why did you even take the offer?’ Sherina asked flipping through the latest issue of Cosmo. ‘It was a favor to my agent.’ ‘I heard they are pretty hot. I’m gonna go get ready.’ Sherina said jumping up. ‘I’m gonna stay out here and get some more color.’ Kerrie said half smiling.

2 hours later they pulled up to the house where the shoot was and they knocked on the door. Kerrie’s agent, Tim, answered the door. ‘Late as usual.’ ‘It wasn’t me this time, it was her. She wanted to look good.’ Kerrie said adjusting her short jean shorts and blue tank top. ‘We have all your stuff set up as you asked.’ ‘Great.’ Kerrie walked into the living room to see five guys sitting around laughing. ‘Lads, this is Kerrie and her assistant Sherina. Anto promised you guys would be on your best behavior since Kerrie is taking time out of her busy schedule to do this shoot.’ Tim said as Kerrie just laughed. ‘Are you guys ready?’ She asked picking up her camera. ‘Tim, you didn’t tell us she was hot.’ One of the blonde guys said grinning. ‘Sorry she’s taken.’ Nina said pointing to a cover of a magazine with Heath Ledger on the cover. ‘Kian, stop pouting.’ One of the other blondes joked. ‘All right, let’s get to work. Nina, let’s do the group photos first.’ She took her cue and got them set up the turned on the music, Bon Jovi’s Cross Road, while Kerrie checked the camera. ‘Tim, you loaded it wrong again.’ Kerrie said after trying to take a practice picture. ‘I told you me setting up was a bad idea.’ He said looking up from his paper work. ‘If you broke my favorite camera I’ll fire your ass.’ Kerrie said sitting on the ground to fix the now jammed camera. A few minutes later Kerrie got the film out and tossed it in the trash and loaded a new roll. ‘Ok, are we ready?’ They all nodded and Kerrie went to work taking shots. She took 3 rolls of group shots then set up for 2 rolls each of solo shots. ‘Ker, we’re actually making good time for once.’ Nina said. ‘Yea, Kayte will kill us if we’re late for Mike’s concert.’ ‘Who’s Mike?’ Bryan asked. ‘My sister’s boyfriend, he’s the lead singer of a band. They are playing at the Sun Strip tonight at 9 if you guys want to go.’ Kerrie said. ‘That might be fun.’ Mark said sitting down to watch Bryan’s shoot which was first. Everyone continued talking and got to know each other pretty well. The shoot ended at 7:30 and Nina gave them directions to the club.

Ch 6

At 9 Kayte was at the club with Nina. Kerrie was running late since she stopped to pick up her car. The five guys were there and Nina introduced them all to Kayte. At 9:15 Kerrie came running threw the door dressed in her denim mini skirt and a black halter top. ‘Hey everyone, we can start the show now that Kerrie’s here.’ He said pointing to her. ‘Gee... thanks for holding the show for me.’ She said laughing as she took the only seat available next to Kian. Nina smirked at Bryan as they both laughed. ‘I’d like to welcome everyone to the show tonight. We’ll be doing an hour set with a break in the middle. I hope you all enjoy.’ Mike started playing the first few cords of In Again. Mike had short black hair and hazel eyes. There were tattoos down his right arm and he was dressed in all black. At the break he got a beer and joined them at the table. ‘Did you meet everyone yet?’ Kerrie asked. ‘Didn’t have time.’ He said finishing his beer. ‘Mike, this is Westlife, they are an Irish pop group. This is Bryan, Shane, Kian, Mark, and Nicky. I had a shoot with them today.’ ‘Nice to meet you guys.’ Tony, the other guitarist came over. ‘Mike, we should get back up there.’ ‘All right, talk to you guys when we’re done.’ Mike hopped back up on stage followed by Tony as they set up for their next set. At the end of the set he brought Kayte on stage to sing Extraordinary to her. Once the song ended the crowd was all on their feet cheering. When everyone calmed down they started talking again. Bryan nudged Nina to look at Kian who was staring at Kerrie who went to dance. ‘Ki, enjoying the view?’ Bryan asked laughing. Kian turned a bright shade of red. ‘Huh?’ ‘I asked if you were enjoying the view?’ Bryan asked laughing. ‘I-’I’m not looking at anything.’ Kian said nervously. ‘Caught in the act. Trust me your not the first.’ Mike said. ‘Why am I the only one dancing?’ Kerrie asked coming back to the table. ‘Kian loves to dance.’ Bryan asked elbowing Kian in the side. ‘Then come on.’ She said grabbing his hand and they went out to the dance floor. ‘What are they up to?’ Kerrie asked. ‘Just talking about everyone’s love lives.’ ‘That is not too exciting.’ She said smirking. They all stayed at the club till almost 1 am when everyone went their separate ways. Kayte headed back to Mike’s house and Nina drove her bike home. The guys pilled into Kerrie’s Explorer and she drove them back to the hotel. ‘How did you meet Heath?’ Bryan asked. ‘We used to hang out at the same bar.’ ‘Are you guys serious?’ He asked as Kian gave him a look. ‘Not really, we haven’t been together that long.’ ‘Where does everyone hang out anyway?’ Kian asked trying to change the conversation. ‘There’s a bunch of clubs, all the partners either go to The Viper Room or Rain.’ ‘Lads, we should go there tomorrow.’ Nicky said. ‘If you guys want to meet some people I’m having a beach party this weekend. Your welcome to come.’ ‘Would you mind if we brought some people?’ Nicky asked. ‘Not a problem.’ ‘Great, my girlfriend is flying in tomorrow and Mark’s friend is also coming to visit.’ Kerrie wrote down directions to her place then went home.

Ch 7

Three days later everyone was rushing around the hotel getting ready. ‘This is so exciting.’ Ellie said looking through her suitcase. ‘Kian is the most excited. He hasn’t stopped talking about Kerrie since the photo shoot.’ Nicky said coming out of the bathroom in his bathing suet and a tee shirt. ‘He has been talking about her a lot.’ ‘I have a strange feeling he is going to be let down. She does have a boyfriend.’ ‘Who?’ ‘Heath Ledger.’ ‘Wow, is this party going to be all actors?’ ‘I have no idea. She really didn’t mention who was going to be there. I’m going to go see if everyone is almost ready.’ Nicky put on his sandals then headed out the door. Ellie finally picked out a swimsuit and clothes to wear over it and quickly got dressed. Nicky came back to the room 10 minutes later. ‘Everyone’s ready. The cars are waiting for us.’ Everyone split up into the two cars and they arrived at Kerrie’s house. Cars filled the driveway and lined the streets. ‘Look at the turn out.’ Shane said getting out of the car. ‘This house is amazing.’ Ellie said as Nicky helped her out of the car. Yuri and Mark were both silent as they looked at the house. Bryan started to the door followed by Shane. ‘Come on lover boy.’ Bryan yelled ringing the doorbell as Nicky shoved Kian towards the front.

A few second later Nina answered the door. ‘Hey guys, come on in. If you have any bags you can toss them in a guest room. Everyone is outside on the beach, you can come out when your ready.’ Then she hurried up the stairs. Mark and Yuri took their bags and put them in a guest room and they all went outside. The beach was filled with actors and singers all sitting around talking. Kayte and Mike spotted them and came over. ‘Hey peoples, nice to see you made it here ok.’ ‘If your looking for Kerrie she’s out there surfing with the guys.’ Kayte said motioning to the water where several people were surfing. ‘She’s the only girl out there.’ Mike said laughing. ‘Ellie and Yuri this is Kayte, Kerrie’s sister, and Mike, Kayte’s boyfriend. Ellie’s my girlfriend and Yuri is Mark’s friend.’ Nicky said as Kian wandered off towards the water with Bryan following him. Nina followed them to the water’s edge with a blonde guy in tow. ‘Kian and Bryan, this is Dan. He’s a friend of Kerrie’s from high school.’ ‘How you guys doin? Ker, you are way to crazy.’ He said as she came jogging in with her board. ‘Hey guys, did you find the house ok?’ She said putting her board down on the sand. ‘Yea, it wasn’t hard to find. Who are the babes over there?’ ‘They’re actresses, I don’t even know most of them.’ ‘I’m going to go introduce myself.’ Bryan said walking over to the group and started talking to them. ‘Heath and Orli, come over here!’ She said waving them over. ‘Guys this is Kian. He’s in Westlife.’ ‘Ahh... all the girls in London are in love with you guys. The last time I was at home there was a concert and it was crazy around the city. I’m going to go get a drink.’ Orli said wandering off towards the house. Kevin Richardson and AJ McLean of BSB came in with their surf boards. ‘Hey party girl, get back out here.’ AJ yelled as they turned and started paddling out. ‘I guess I’ll be back in a few.’ Kerrie picked up her board and took off towards the guys. ‘Dan, did you just get in?’ Heath asked as the three of them turned to watch Kerrie compete with the guys. ‘Yea, I got some time off from hockey so I came for a visit.’ ‘I asked her to come to Australia with me but she said no.’ ‘To meet your parents? Come on how well do you know her? Kerrie doesn’t rush into anything.’ Dan said as Heath just nodded and started back to the house.

‘Let me guess, you have a thing for her?’ Dan asked as Kian turned a light shade of red. ‘Don’t worry, they are on the rocks. He’s looking for more then what she’s willing to put in. Kerrie’s kicking back now, all through high school she was the smart one. She’s the reason why I even graduated, she was my tutor and we became friends.’ ‘What did she tutor you in?’ ‘History and literature, I needed to be doing good in both in order to play hockey. She is just one of those really cool people that everyone gets along with. Well... mostly everyone.’ Dan said stopping as he saw Paris Hilton come walking over with Nick Carter not far behind. ‘Where is she?’ Paris asked with her hands on her hips. ‘Out there.’ Dan said pointing to Kerrie who was paddling out again. ‘That girl needs to agree to take those pictures for me.’ ‘Paris, she already-’ ‘Nick, I know what she already said but she is the best in the business right now and I want her to take the pictures.’ She spat glaring at Nick. Heath and Orli were walking back towards the water and Paris ran over to see if they could help her cause. Kerrie noticed her talking to them and started in from the water. ‘This is gonna be good.’ Dan said grinning as Kerrie tossed her board on the sand and walked over to the group. ‘Since when were you invited?’ Kerrie asked crossing her arms. ‘Nick was invited.’ Paris said turning. ‘Anyway.... about the shoot.’ ‘Listen, I don’t like you and I won’t ever do a photo shoot with you. Got it?’ Mike and Nina heard the commotion and came running over followed by Kayte. ‘How dare you!’ Paris said going to slap her but Kerrie caught her wrist. ‘Don’t even think about it.’ Kerrie said pushing her away. ‘Mike, do something.’ Kayte said. ‘No way, this is way too funny.’ Heath and Orli just nodded. ‘Kayte, how often so we get to see a really good chick fight. Come on now.’ Heath said grinning as Paris pushing Kerrie onto the sand and Kerrie tackled her down. ‘Nick, you better get her away from me.’ Kerrie gritted as Paris pulled her hair. When Nick did nothing Kerrie grabbed Paris’s hand and yanked it causing her to fall over. Paris sat up and dove at Kerrie trying to scratch her. ‘All right, I’m done being nice.’ Kerrie muttered and grabbed Paris’s hands to push them away and with her other fist she made connection with Paris’s jaw. By now almost everyone was gathered around. Paris was in shock and just sat on the sand. ‘Do you get the clue now?’ Kerrie said getting up. Her wet suet was covered in sand and she had a huge scratch on her cheek. ‘ Nick, your welcome to stay but she has to go now.’ Kerrie said heading towards the house as Mike started clapping as other’s joined in.

Ch 8

About 20 minutes later Kerrie emerged from the house showered and in a two piece suet. ‘That was awesome.’ Dan said patting her on the back. ‘Yea, she deserved it.’ Nina said grinning. ‘Hi guys, sorry I didn’t get to say hello.’ Kerrie said noticing the other members of Westlife sitting on the patio. ‘Kerrie, this is Ellie, my girlfriend, and Yuri, Mark’s friend.’ ‘Nice to meet you.’ ‘Great fight.’ Ellie said laughing. ‘Townie girls can hold it down.’ Dan said taking a sip of his beer. ‘Right, let’s not talk about that anymore. Did you guys meet Heath and Orli?’ They all shook their heads no. ‘I’ll go find them, be right back.’ Less then two minutes they she came back with both of them. ‘Heath and Orli this is Nicky, Mark, Shane, and Bryan they are in Westlife with Kian. This is Ellie, Nicky’s girlfriend, and Yuri, a friend of Mark.’ For the next hour they all hung around having some laughs before splitting up to enjoy the party. Ellie and Nicky spent a good amount of time talking to Kevin and his wife, Kristen then AJ. Bryan and Shane went back to talking to the girls. Mark and Yuri went for a walk down the beach to catch up on what was going on. While Kerrie went to help Heath restock the drinks Kian and Dan started talking again. ‘So she really isn’t that interested in him?’ ‘Did you see the way she acted around Orlando? From the time that she met him there has been some chemistry between them but of course he has a girlfriend now, she’s around here somewhere.’ ‘Oh... that kind of ruins my chances.’ ‘Orli and Kate are happy together. I don’t see them breaking up anytime soon. If you two stay in touch and become good friends I’m sure that something could happen between you too. From what I’ve seen you guys defiantly have some chemistry.’ ‘What about you guys?’ ‘Kerrie and I? Ahh... I had the biggest crush on her in high school but she never was into guys like me. I was a jock who had a not so great reputation when it came to the ladies. We went to the prom together and she got into a fight with my girlfriend but we were never more then friends. My mom still has hope that we’ll end up together, she loves Kerrie. She’s been the daughter she never had.’ ‘What kind of guys did she date in high school?’ ‘She hardly dated at all. Most of the guys at our school were jocks so she just concentrated on school.’ Kian was happy to get some information about Kerrie. Dan told him everything he wanted to know and generally seemed like a good guy.

Around 11pm everyone had pretty much gone home except for Westlife and the girls and Dan. Heath had left at 9 after having a small argument about Australia with Kerrie who held her ground. Luckily the house wasn’t too messy so Kerrie brought the negative of the photo shoot and some prints to show them. ‘These are my favorite pictures.’ She said passing around the photos that were done. ‘My interns are developing the rest just so you guys can check them out.’ ‘These are really good. Your talented.’ Yuri said holding up the negatives for her and Mark to look at. ‘This picture is great. Bryan looks like such a pimp.’ Shane said laughing as he handed Bryan the picture. ‘Hey I look good.’ ‘I’ll have the rest of the pictures done Monday so I can drop them off at the hotel for you guys to look at.’ ‘That sounds great. Will you be able to go over them with us?’ Nicky asked handing Ellie some pictures to look at. ‘I’ll be free for a little while in the morning. Nina, Kayte, and I are going to the Red Sox and Angels game.’ ‘Is that what the tattoo on your back is for?’ Kian asked. ‘Yea, it’s the team symbol.’ ‘She’s a fanatic. This girl knows everything about baseball.’ ‘I got to take the team photo this year it was very cool.’ ‘Then Johnny Damon, the center fielder, made a proposition. He asked her to have his babies.’ Dan said laughing as Kerrie turned a bright shade of red as everyone laughed. ‘Did he really? What did you say?’ Bryan managed to get out in-between laughs. ‘I was in shock cause he’s married with kids. I said, I don’t think that would be a great idea and he laughed it off.’ ‘I wish he asked me.’ Nina said pouting. ‘How about I stop by the hotel at around 10ish to go over the pictures.’ Kerrie said as she collected the negatives and photos. ‘Sounds good.’ Mark said getting up and stretching. ‘Thanks for inviting us.’ Yuri said as the others agreed. ‘Thanks for stopping by. I’ll see you all Monday morning then.’ Kerrie said walking them to the door. ‘Good night.’ Kian said as they all walked over to the car.

Ch 9

Monday morning came quickly and Kerrie came walking into the hotel with a little boy in tow. ‘Kerrie, I want to go to the park.’ He said pouting. ‘Wil Patrick Hingston, I told you in the car that we would go to the park after.’ ‘But I want to go now.’ He wined stomping his foot. The little boy looked just like Kerrie with red hair and blue eyes. ‘Wil, I’m gonna call your dad.’ Kerrie said taking out her phone. ‘No, don’t call dad. I’ll go.’ He said following her into the hotel restaurant where everyone was waiting. ‘Sorry I’m late, my cousin decided to misinform me that he was visiting this weekend not next weekend. This is his oldest son, Wil Patrick.’ ‘I get to go to the park after so can we hurry?’ He said climbing up into a seat. ‘Wow... you get right to the point don’t yea.’ Kian said laughing. ‘You have a weird accent.’ Wil said giving him a look. ‘Wil, that is not nice.’ Kerrie said sitting next to him. ‘Can you tell Kian your sorry?’ ‘No.’ The little boy said crossing his arms. ‘Ok, I guess we’re not going to go to the park.’ Kerrie said ignoring him as he started to whine. ‘Just ignore him.’ She mouthed before she passed the pictures around. ‘I’m going to the ball game tonight, Kayte gave me her ticket.’ Wil said talking as everyone tried not to focus their attention on him. ‘Listen to me!’ He demanded hitting the table. ‘Wil, let’s go. Me and you need to have a talk outside.’ Kerrie said standing up and picking up the four year old as he squirmed. ‘He’s a handful and a half.’ Shane said taking a sip of his coffee. ‘I think he’s a cute kid.’ Bryan said as Kian looked out the window to where Wil was throwing a tantrum outside and Kerrie was trying to talk to him.

10 minutes later Kerrie came back into the restaurant with Wil on her hip. ‘Sorry, he’s so cranky right now. Chris is gonna have fun dealing with him later.’ ‘The rest of these pictures are great.’ ‘This is only 75% of the pictures, the other 25 % came out way to dark with the lighting in there.’ ‘Kerrie, he’s asleep.’ Kian said as Kerrie looked down to see Wil softly snoring against her shoulder. ‘Thank goodness, I swear Chris does not never tell his kids no.’ ‘You handled it well. I don’t know if I could have handled that.’ Ellie said picking at her bagel on her plate. ‘Are you really taking him to the game tonight?’ Kian asked. ‘Yea, Kayte gave up her ticket so her and Chris can go shopping. He’s is one of the few guys I know that actually enjoy shopping.’ ‘Nix loves to shop.’ Mark said laughing. ‘I didn’t say that was bad, but in Boston guys hate to shop.’ Kerrie said shifting Wil to her other side. ‘Want me to take him?’ Kian asked. ‘I don’t know-’ ‘Kian is great with kids. He does have younger siblings.’ Shane said winking at Kian. ‘If you really want to.’ Kian took Wil from Kerrie who stood up to stretch. ‘Thanks.’ It took another 20 minutes for the guys to pick of the pictures they wanted and Kerrie wrote down where to send them. They talked for almost an hour until Wil woke up and started complaining again. Kerrie was going to meet up with the guys in a few months when she was going to Denmark. Kian gave Kerrie his e-mail and phone number so they would know when and where to meet.

Ch 10

September 2002

Kerrie was in Denmark for a Lord of the Ring’s convention. Prior to leaving she was in Boston and had just bought a condo to share with Dan when she was in Boston (a good part of the year). She kept in touch with Kian and walked to him constantly through e-mails. Nina was in CA still in a great mood about meeting Johnny Damon and having a quick fling with him. On Friday night ( the next day) Westlife was coming into town for a concert so Kerrie was going to meet up with the guys to hang out. Kerrie got all of her presentations ready for the convention which was starting that night. She was one of the main speakers since she was actually on the set and took some of the official pictures. All of the fans would be thrilled that she had Orli make a special video message for them. The convention was split into groups: hobbits, humans, dwarfs, orcs, and elves. Kerrie was the leader of the Elf group and started the night off with a speech. After the speech there was a huge dinner and Kerrie went off to talk to Billy Boyd who was there to kick off the convention. Early the next morning Kerrie got up to go to her workshop on Elvish weapons that started at 9 am. On her way out of the hotel she was stopped by a man as the desk. ‘Ms. Hingston, these were just delivered for you.’ He said handing her a bouquet of flowers. ‘Thank you.’ She looked at the tag as she started down the hallway to the room where the workshop was. ‘Kerrie, I’m sure you’ll do great today. See you tonight, Kian.’ She had a huge smile as she set up the power point presentation. The room was filled with mostly guys and one girl who sat quietly at the front. Since there was 10 minutes before the presentation started Kerrie sat down next to her. ‘Who’s your favorite?’ Kerrie asked with a half smile. ‘Legolas. I’m Camilla, Your speech last night was great.’ ‘Thanks, I’m Kerrie by the way.’ ‘Are you scared to talk to large crowds?’ ‘Sometimes, what other workshops are you going to?’ ‘Umm... one at 11 on costumes and another at 1 on photography.’ ‘I’m doing the workshop at one.’ ‘That’s good.’ ‘I guess I better get started.’ The workshop went well and everyone loved the clip of Orli talking about weapons on the set. After Kerrie and Camilla talked while Kerrie shut off the equipment and they walked to the coffee shop to get a drink. Kerrie was suprised to get a call from Kian while they were in line. ‘Hello?’ ‘Hi Kerrie, how did it go?’ ‘Great. Thanks for the flowers, Kian. They’re beautiful.’ ‘I just wanted to call and let you know that the driver will be at the hotel at 2:30 to pick you up.’ ‘All right, I’ll see you later.’ ‘Ok, bye.’ ‘Bye Kian.’ Kerrie clicked off her phone as Camilla’s mouth hung open. ‘You know Kian?’ ‘I did a shoot with Westlife a few months ago.’ ‘Wow... my friend, LIse, and I are huge fans.’ ‘How about I set up a meeting for you guys? I can have have the guys come back to the hotel tonight.’ ‘Would you really do that?’ ‘Yea, I’m sure they won’t mind.’ They talked over coffee then planned to talk about it before the 1 pm workshop.

At 2:30 Kerrie was in the car going to the arena. She was going to call Camilla during the concert to tell her what time to go to the hotel. When she got to the arena Kian was standing as the back door waiting. ‘Hey Kerrie.’ He said giving her a hug. ‘You look great.’ He said grinning. ‘So do you. I kinda have a favor to ask you and the guys.’ ‘Sure, what is it?’ ‘Well... I meet a girl today and she’s a huge fan. So I was hoping that you guys could come back to the hotel to meet her and a friend.’ ‘I’m sure the guys won’t mind. I’ll ask them for you.’ He said as the walked down the hallway to the dressing room. ‘How are you and Heath?’ ‘Umm... we broke up.’ Kerrie mumbled. ‘You did? When?’ ‘A few weeks ago, I haven’t told anyone yet.’ ‘Wow... what happened?’ ‘We were just in different places. He’s a great guy but we weren’t meant to be.’ ‘So... how is the new condo with Dan?’ ‘Good, my mom is still dead set against me living with a guy before marriage even though he’s juts a friend.’ Kian just laughed. ‘How’s the tour going?’ ‘Good, it’s been fun.’ Kian went off to ask the other guys about after the show while Anto talked her ear off about how great the pictures were. Kerrie and Kian hung out before the show. Kian was suprised that she didn’t mind him putting his arm around her while they sat on the couch talking. After the show they went to the hotel to meet Camilla and Lise. Mark and Lise started talking right away and went to the bar to get a drink. ‘So... Camilla, what do you do?’ Kian asked as they sat around the hotel lounge. ‘I’m going to college.’ ‘Not a working girl like Lise?’ ‘Soon enough I will be, a teacher actually.’ ‘That’s cool.’ Camilla spotted someone she knew and went to talk to them. Mark and Lise went out to dinner the next night. While Kerrie and Kian went to a late night movie. He loved that she was really starting to open up to him and that she didn’t mind his cuddling. Kerrie hung out in Europe for awhile and went with Westlife to their next few dates on the tour. While she was around her and Kian were getting very close. Mark was trying to get reception on his phone while on the bus and he walked into the back to see them kissing.

Ch 11

Mid- November 2002

Westlife were in London for a few days off. Nicky and Ellie were celebrating their one year anniversary. Nicky spent a lot of time planning a fancy dinner and a night out dancing. Ellie was dressed in a fitted teal dress and Nicky was dressed in a gray pinstripe suet. Luckily Nicky managed to keep the media away so they had a quiet night to them self. Kian was in a super mood, he and Kerrie were on the phone constantly and she was going to come and visit him in a month. Mark and Lise were also still together and constantly talking on the phone. Bryan was out sopping for a pair of sunglasses when he started talking to a girl in the store. Her name was Kim and got along great with Bryan right away. They made plans to meet up at a bar later on that night. Kim and Bryan stayed out all night drinking and having some laughs. They planned to see each other again the following night. ‘Hey Bry, where are you going?’ Kian asked looking through a magazine. ‘Out.’ ‘With that girl you meet?’ He asked raising an eyebrow. ‘Maybe, see yea later Egan.’ Bryan said pulling a hat over his eyes and leaving the room. ‘You lads all stink.’ Shane said pouting in the corner. ‘Why is that?’ Nicky asked grinning. ‘Cause you all have girlfriends.’ ‘Hey, I don’t have a girlfriend.’ Kian said. ‘Not yet.... but you will soon.’ Shane said grabbing the remote to switch stations. ‘Shane, you’ll find the girl for you soon enough.’ Mark said sitting down next to him. ‘Easy enough for you lot to say. Your all happy, talking on the phones and being all lovey dovey. Even Bryan has found someone!’ Shane said throwing up his arms and walking out of the room.

Kian pulled out his ringing cell phone and looked to see who was calling. ‘Hi Noemie.’ He said answering. ‘Hi Kian, how’s the tour going?’ ‘Great, really great. How’s my favorite cousin doing?’ ‘Ok, Kian it’s all over the news about you and that photographer.’ ‘Kerrie?’ ‘If that’s her name. What are you doing with her?’ Noemie asked concerned. ‘I think I’m in love.’ Kian said grinning. ‘Isn’t she dating Heath Ledger?’ ‘No, they broke up.’ ‘So your the lucky rebound guy.’ ‘I’m not a rebound guy. They weren’t even serious.’ Kian said quickly. ‘Ki, I really don’t think you dating someone like her is a good idea.’ ‘What do you mean, someone like her?’ ‘A crazy American girl.’ ‘How is she crazy?’ ‘She just is, from what I heard about her she is crazy.’ ‘What did you hear?’ ‘I heard about her and Paris Hilton have a huge grudge.’ ‘I was there for one of the fights, Paris went after her first.’ ‘Kian, your blinded by her. Will you be careful at least?’ ‘Noemie, trust me she’s a great girl. Once you meet her you’ll see it.’ ‘If you say so, I better get back to studying.’ ‘Keep those grades up.’ Kian said laughing. ‘At least someone in the family is a good student.’ ‘Very funny, talk to you soon.’ ‘Bye Kian.’ ‘Bye.’ Kian shut off the phone and shook his head. Even though Noemie was younger then him they really close. She was in Paris attending university and always stayed in touch with Kian. ‘That sounded fun.’ Mark said laughing. ‘Noemie, just doing what she thinks is best.’

Ch 12

It was late November and Westlife was in Holland taping a special for TV. Kim had just bought a house in Sligo near Shane’s house. Bryan was still hush-hush about their relationship and the guys only saw her once, from far away. Mark had spent a long weekend off in Denmark visiting Lise and he was always talking about her. Nicky and Ellie were still doing great, her and Lusia had even become friends and hung out several times. Kayte and Mike just got engaged, Kerrie had called Kian at 2am the night before to let him know. Shane snickered as Kian grumbled about how tired he was. ‘Ki, you always say you never get to talk to Kerrie on the phone. Now your complaining.’ Nicky said laughing. ‘You try getting woken-up out of a sound sleep to hear about an engagement.’ ‘Girls get excited about stuff like that.’ Mark said as he looked over to see Bryan talking to someone on his phone. ‘When is she coming for a visit anyway?’ Nicky asked. ‘In two weeks, she has a shoot to do in Paris and then she’s going to come to London.’ ‘That’s good, Ellie asks about her all the time.’ ‘Yuri does too, we should put them in contact cause she loves baseball too.’ Mark said as Kian yawned. ‘I think I’m going to take a nap.’ Kian headed to the bus but didn’t end up sleeping. He signed online and got a IM from Nina. ‘What is up with you and Kerrie?’ ‘Is something wrong?’ ‘Umm... she turned down a date with Tom Brady, the hottest quarterback ever. Are you guys dating?’ ‘Nina, you are way to curious.’ ‘Come on tell me, she doesn’t tell me anything about her love life anymore cause I tell everyone.’ ‘That gives me a reason not to say anything.’ ‘Aww... you two are together. You have to be. This is great, congrats.’ ‘Thanks.’ ‘You must be super thrilled that she’s going to be over there soon.’ ‘Yea, I am.’ ‘Ok, I’ll let you go. Thanks for the news.’ Kian laughed to himself and went to go lay in the bunk.

Shane wandered off to a local coffee shop. He ordered a drink for himself and took a seat in the corner looking at the paper, then he saw her out of the corner of his eye. She was at the counter ordering some drinks. Shane smiled to himself, she was very attractive and seemed really nice. She struggled to carry the drinks so he went over to help her. ‘Let me.’ He say taking a tray from her. ‘Thanks so much.’ She said looking up as their eyes met. ‘My coworkers would kill me if I didn’t bring them their coffee.’ ‘Where are you going?’ ‘Just right across the street to the daycare.’ ‘I’m Shane, by the way.’ ‘Thanks , Shane. I’m Amanda.’ She said smiling as she opened the door. ‘Sorry if I seem a bit forward but I was wondering if you’d like to go out with me tonight?’ ‘That would be great, I get out of work at 5. So anytime after 6 would be ok with me.’ ‘Great.’ Amanda wrote down her phone number and address before going into the daycare. Shane walked back to the studio with a huge smile on his face. Nicky saw his face and started laughing. ‘I think someone has found himself a girl!’ Nicky said happily. ‘It’s about damn time.’ Mark joked. ‘I got a date tonight. She has the most amazing eyes.’ Shane said flopping down on a chair. ‘This is great, now we don’t have to listen to you complain about being single anymore.’ Bryan said looking up from whatever he was writing. That night Shane and Amanda went out to eat then went for a short walk in the park. They bonded right away and were at ease with each other almost instantly.

Ch 13

December 2002

Kerrie has been in London for a week with Kian. When Kian is in the studio she goes out with Ellie and Lusia. Nina went to Orlando instead of going to Europe, she went for an interview with a comic company and got a job. She could work from home but would need to travel to Orlando often. Nina didn’t mind because that was where Johnny lived on the off-season and they were still seeing each other often. Kayte and Mike came to London for a concert and to spend some time with Kerrie. Mike had been on the road for the last 4 months promoting his major label debut and Kayte went with him. Kerrie met them at the airport and gave them both a huge hug. ‘I can’t believe that my baby sister is engaged.’ She said trying to hold back her tears. ‘Where’s Kian?’ ‘At the studio, he’ll be done in a hour or so.’ ‘How’s London so far?’ ‘Great, Lusia and Ellie have been showing me around when they are free.’ ‘The concert tonight should be great. My first concert overseas.’ Mike said grabbing his and Kayte’s bags. ‘It’s been all over the radio stations. I’ve been telling everyone too.’ They got a cab to the hotel and got settled before going to meet Kian and the others in the lobby. ‘Hey Mike, looking forward to the big show?’ Bryan asked. ‘Like always, I’m playing some new stuff tonight. The show in Paris is going to be crazy, their playing it on MTV.’ Mike said putting his guitar case down. ‘Bry, are you gonna introduce us to your friend now that everyone’s here?’ Shane asked. ‘Everyone, this is Kim. We’ve been seeing each other for a little while. That’s Shane, Mark, Nicky, Ellie, Lusia, Kian, Kerrie, Kayte, and Mike.’ Bryan said cheerfully. ‘Shane, it looks like us three are the only ones without a date.’ Lusia said moving in-between Shane and Mark. ‘Yea, our girls couldn’t get the time off work.’ Mark said as they all headed to the car. ‘We’ll have fun anyway.’ Shane said getting into the car as they all headed off to Mike’s sound check.

After the concert everyone celebrated Kayte and Mike’s engagement as they girls all congregated in a corner to talk about the ring. ‘There yea go Mike. Now they’ll all be wanting a ring.’ Mark said watching the girls laughing. ‘No way, I’m not ready for any huge commitment.’ Bryan said nervously. ‘Nix is the only one to worry. Him and Ellie have been together for ages.’ Shane said joking as Nicky laughed nervously. ‘Not ages, just 13 months.’ ‘Oh just 13 months.’ Kian said mocking him as the others laughed. ‘Shut up, Egan. You and Spaz act like your already married.’ Nicky shot back as Kian turned a light shade of red. ‘We do not.’ ‘Aww.... Kian’s blushing, how cute.’ Mark said sipping his beer. ‘Anyway, Ellie’s coming to Ireland right?’ Kian asked trying to get off the topic. ‘Yup, my parents have been dying to meet her. Your having Spaz meet your parents already?’ Nix ask surprised. ‘Yea.’ ‘Holy shit, you guys must be getting along great cause she usually avoids family meetings.’ ‘You should see them together all lovey dovey.’ Bryan said making funny movements. ‘What about your girls?’ Mike asked motioning to Shane and Mark. ‘Amanda’s a daycare teacher in Holland. We meet in a coffee shop 2 weeks ago.’ ‘Ahh... young love. Mark, didn’t Kerrie introduce you to your girlfriend?’ ‘In a way, she was talking to her best friend at the LOTR convention.’ ‘I heard that was great. Kerrie said she’s had loads of job offers because of her work. I never would have guessed she’d be one of the top photographers in the world. People think it’s funny when they find out how old she is.’ ‘Her work is great tough. She really gets feelings in pictures.’ ‘When she was in New Zealand, her and Viggo Mortensen had a long talk about that. He’s an artist/poet on the side so he gave her some tips. If you want to see some raw/ touching pictures go to one of his galleries. That guy is brilliant with everything he does.’ The girls conversation had tapered off and Kerrie started getting board. ‘You can be so hyper sometimes.’ Ellie said laughing as Kerrie started dancing in her seat. ‘That’s why everyone calls her Spaz, Dan came up with that nickname when she played volleyball. She was all over the court.’ Kayte said laughing as her sister went over to the DJ to request some songs. All of a sudden the sounds of “The Right Stuff” came over the speakers as the girls laughed at the guys shocked faces. ‘New Kids rock!’ Kayte said jumping up to join Kerrie on the dance floor with the other girls not far behind. ‘If the crowd gets this much into this song Spaz will have them playing New Kids all night.’ Mike said laughing. ‘Her and Kayte listen to their greatest hits all the time, it drives me crazy.’ Mike said getting up to go to the bar. The rest of the night was filled with the girls picking 80s songs and doing crazy dance moves while the guys sat around board. The next day Mike and Kayte got their plane to London while the guys, Ellie, Kim, and Kerrie got a plan to Ireland.

Ch 14

February 2003

Kerrie was in New York for a shoot and bumped into Orlando who was also there doing a shoot. They hung out and got a coffee and talked about things. Orli had told Heath about Kerrie dating Kian and he thought it was a great idea. He was working on some movies and looking at a few other scripts. When Kerrie got back to Boston Dan and Nina found a large condo for them to movie into Kerrie agreed and they moved into the larger harbor view condo. Dan was going to be in Canada most of the winter playing hockey, he was only back for a long weekend. On the 7th Kerrie was going to Europe to visit Kian until the end of the month when she was going to Africa for a shoot. During her visit she’s get to meet Amanda, both Ellie and Kerrie were anxious to meet her since Shane talked about her all the time. Westlife was going to be in Paris for Valentine's day and all of the girls were going to be there to spend time with them. Kayte and Mike were resting after his tour was over and were beginning to plan their wedding.

Nicky sat on the phone with Lusia. ‘Lusia, what would you think if I asked Ellie to marry me?’ He mumbled. ‘What did you say?’ ‘What would you think if I asked Ellie to marry me?’ He said quickly. ‘Wow... that is a shock. Didn’t you say not to long ago that you weren’t ready for marriage.’ ‘That’s what I said but not what I feel. Kayte and Mike seem really happy-’ ‘You want to get married because Mike and Kayte seem happy?’ Lusia asked laughing. ‘This isn’t funny. I love Ellie, I know she is the one.’ Nicky said defensively. ‘You don’t have to bite my head off, Nix.’ Lusia said. ‘You think this is a big joke. I’m serious and you think it’s funny.’ He growled. ‘I don’t think it’s funny.’ Lusia shot back at him. ‘You sure are acting like it. I figured you’d be the one to help me but I guess not.’ ‘Nicky, your getting worked up over nothing.’ ‘Nothing? This is one of the biggest decisions of my life!’ ‘I didn’t mean-’ ‘You didn’t mean what? To be a horrible friend?’ ‘Your taking everything the wrong way. Know what, I can’t talk to you when your like this.’ Lusia said and hung up the phone. Nicky looked at his phone in rage then threw it against the wall of the hotel. The he started pacing back and forth before Shane knocked on his door. ‘Nix, are you ok?’ Shane yelled when Nicky didn’t answer. Nicky swung open the door and shook his head. ‘What happened?’ ‘Lusia and I got into a huge fight. Is Kerrie here yet?’ ‘Yea, I just saw her down stairs.’ ‘No offense but I want to talk to her about Ellie.’ Nicky said before hurrying down the hall. Nicky found Kerrie and talked to her about asking Ellie to marry him. Kerrie gave him some ideas and offered to help if needed.

Ch 15

Valentine’s Day was finally here. Nicky had been planning his proposal for over a week. Kerrie had kept Nicky’s surprise a secret from everyone and made sure no one had any clue as to what was going on. All of the couples were going out to eat at a restaurant which the guys had closed for them. It was a quiet Italian restaurant and had a decent size dance floor that was really nice. All of the girls were gathered in Kerrie and Ellie’s rooms which were joined to get ready. Amanda was the last to arrive, she got there that morning and was very shy around all the girls. ‘Amanda, Shane’s been telling everyone about you.’ ‘Really?’ She asked from her spot on the bed. ‘Yea, anyone who will listen. He’s really happy.’ Amanda turned a light shade of red. ‘He was getting jealous of the other guys for awhile.’ Ellie said coming out of the bathroom brushing her hair. ‘Mark said that too.’ Lise said going threw her clothes. ‘Spaz, where are we going?’ ‘An Italian restaurant.’ ‘That’s funny. Kian usually manages to keep things secret but Spaz gets everything out of him.’ Ellie said laughing. ‘I needed to know how to dress.’ Spaz said going threw her clothes. ‘What colors are you guys wearing?’ She asked turning around. ‘Black.’ Kim said from the doorway. ‘Purple.’ Ellie said holding up her dress. ‘Maybe pink.’ Lise said looking at two dresses. ‘Baby blue.’ Amanda said putting down her magazine. ‘Hmm.... let’s see. Which one?’ Kerrie said holding up a light green dress and a brown dress. ‘I like the green one.’ Lise said. ‘Defiantly green.’ Kim said. ‘I like the brown but the green one is more you.’ Ellie said as there was a knock on the door. ‘Kerrie, Noemie is here.’ Kian yelled. Ellie opened the door. ‘Ki, we’re getting ready. We only have 2 hours.’ She said laughing. Kerrie appeared in the doorway in a pair of boxer shorts and tank top with her hair in a messy ponytail. ‘Girls, I’ll be right back.’ Kerrie said closing the door and following him down the hallway. ‘I thought she was coming over tomorrow.’ ‘She was but something came up.’ When they got upstairs Noemie was standing in the doorway waiting. ‘Kerrie this is my cousin, Noemie.’ Noemie gave her a look. ‘Getting ready to go out.’ Kerrie said motioning to her outfit. ‘Interesting, you can go back to getting ready.’ Kerrie ignored her rudeness and gave Kian a quick kiss and went back down stairs.

The girls finished getting ready with a few minutes to spare. All of the girls had dresses on except Kim who opted for black dress pants. The phone rang and Ellie picked it up. ‘Hello?’ ‘Are you gals ready?’ Bryan asked. ‘Yea, we’ll be down in a few.’ ‘Alright.’ She hung up the phone. ‘They’re waiting.’ Ellie said putting on her jacket. The girls headed to the elevator and to the lobby. ‘Wow.... you girls look great.’ Kian said giving Kerrie a kiss. ‘Yea you do.’ Mark said grinning. ‘How did I know you weren’t going to be wearing a dress?’ Bryan asked putting an arm around Kim. ‘Because I told you.’ She said laughing. ‘Oh yea.’ Shane and Amanda were kissing. ‘Ellie, you look fantastic.’ Nicky said giving her a kiss. ‘Come on our cars are waiting.’ Mark said leading the way. They separated into limos and headed to the restaurant. When they got there everyone got settled and ordered their food. Everyone was dancing when Nicky had the DJ stop the music. A huge smirk crossed Kerrie’s face as Kian looked at her confused. ‘What’s going on?’ He whispered. ‘You’ll see.’ She said softly. ‘Ellie, I love you and I want to know if you will marry me?’ He asked getting on one knee. Kerrie grabbed Kian’s hand and squeezed it. Tears started to weld up in Ellie’s eyes and she managed to nod. ‘You knew?’ Kian asked as Kerrie hugged him. ‘Helped him plan it actually.’ She said grinning. ‘So you knew all about tonight?’ She nodded as Nicky mouthed ‘Thank you.’ Kerrie hurried over and hugged Ellie then Nicky. The rest of the night was spent celebrating the couples engagement.

Ch 16

The next day Kerrie and Kian met Noemie for lunch. ‘You brought her.’ Noemie gritted. ‘I said I might bright Kerrie, is it a big deal?’ Kian said pulling up another chair. ‘I wasn’t planning on her being here.’ Noemie said closing the book she was reading. ‘What is your problem?’ Kerrie said as Noemie glared at her. ‘I don’t think my cousin should be dating you.’ She said crossing her arms. ‘Why is that?’ Kerrie said matching her tone. ‘Because your not his type, Kian should be with a decent girl.’ ‘Hold up, you know nothing about me.’ ‘I read a lot about you online.’ ‘Gossip? You can’t be serious. If people were to believe everything they read online then the world would be a mess.’ Kerrie said trying her hardest to control herself. ‘Girls, this is enough. Noemie, I brought Kerrie so you could get to know her.’ ‘I don’t want to get to know her. She’s not worth any of my time.’ Noemie said getting up. ‘Noemie, your being way to harsh right now.’ Kian said pulling her to the side. ‘Kian, I told you already; I don’t like her and I think you can do much better.’ Noemie said glaring at Kerrie who just turned her head the other way. ‘Kian, I’m going to go back to the hotel. You can stay and have lunch with your cousin.’ Kerrie said getting up. ‘Are you sure?’ ‘Yea, if I stay any longer I think that I might have to hurt someone.’ Kerrie said matching Noemie’s glare. Kian gave her a quick kiss before she walked down the busy street back towards the hotel. ‘See? She’s mental?’ Noemie said sitting down. ‘She has a short temper.’ ‘Just like you, I don’t see how a relationship between you two could honestly work.’ She said browsing the menu.

Late March 2003

Kerrie was in Africa doing a shoot about poverty. Westlife were back in London doing promotion for the new CD. ‘Hello?’ Kian said into his phone. ‘Kian, it’s Nina. Can you get in contact with Tim?’ ‘What’s wrong?’ He could tell by her voice that she was crying. ‘I can’t get in contact with Kerrie, her grandfather died.’ Nina said sobbing. ‘Wow... are you ok?’ ‘I’ll be fine, I just want Kerrie to know so she can get back here.’ ‘I’ll get in contact with her.’ ‘Thanks so much.’ Nina said before clicking off the phone. Kian looked at his hands, he didn’t want to be the one to tell her. ‘Ki, what’s the matter?’ Ellie asked. ‘I need to get in contact with Kerrie, she has to go home, her grandfather just passed away.’ Ellie looked shocked. ‘She was just telling me how good he was doing, she’s going to be devastated.’ ‘I better call her.’ He said walking back and forth before calling Tim’s cell phone. ‘Hello?’ ‘Tim, it’s Kian. Can you put Kerrie on?’ ‘She’s in the middle of a shoot.’ ‘Tim, it’s important. It’s about her grandfather.’ Kian said as his voice started to shake. ‘Ok, let me give her the phone.’ He could hear mumbling. ‘Kian, what’s the matter?’ ‘Sherina just called me... I hate to be the one to have to tell you but... your grandfather passed away.’ Kian said trying to remain strong. He had never officially met him but he had talked to him on the phone on twice and he seemed like a great guy. ‘He couldn’t have. I just talked to my mom last night...he was doing great. His blood counts were up, he was getting stronger.’ She said sobbing. ‘Nina said you should go home.’ ‘Thanks for calling. I’ll call you later.’ Kerrie said hanging up the phone as tears started to fall from Kian’s eyes. ‘You told her?’ Ellie asked giving him a hug. ‘Yea, she was a mess. I need to go be with her. She needs me.’ Kian said trying to stop the tears. He hated that he had to tell her and that she had to go through this.

Ch 17

Kerrie got back to Boston early the next morning. Her mother called and made a doctors appointment for her because she didn’t look good. ‘Mom, I’m fine. I’m just upset and tired.’ Kerrie said looking for any reason to go to the doctor. ‘Kerrie, you look off. If you keep fighting I’ll have her come to the house.’ Her mother said as Kerrie just dragged her bag into the hallway. Kian had managed to get four days off, he was going to Boston for the funeral and wake which was taking place in two days. He would arrive the night before, only Nina knew of his plans. Kerrie went to the appointment that day. Right away her doctor took blood tests and started going through everything. ‘Kerrie, I don’t know if your going to like this or not but I think you may be pregnant’ The doctor said looking over the information she just wrote down. ‘No way, that is crazy.’ ‘I know but you have some symptoms; fatigue, nausea, and your eating habits. I’ll put in one of those express tests and we’ll know in an hour.’ Kerrie was just in shock, she was on birth control until a month a half ago when the patch started to make her sick. She headed back to the condo and flopped on the couch. ‘Hey... how did the appointment go?’ ‘You wouldn’t believe-’ She was cut off by the phone ringing. ‘Hello mom.’ ‘How did it go?’ ‘Alright I guess, she’s calling me back in about a hour with some test results.’ ‘Ok, call me when you get them.’ ‘I will.’ Kerrie clicked off the phone and went to go lay down. An hour later she woke up to a ringing phone. ‘Hello?’ ‘Kerrie, it’s Dr. Glickman.’ ‘So am I?’ She asked not knowing if she should be excited or upset. ‘You are.’ She said happily. ‘Wow... this is just a shock.’ ‘What do you plan to do?’ ‘I’m going to have the baby of course, I thought this would be a bad time. But I think it’ll really help me get through this in one piece.’ Kerrie said resting a hand on her stomach. ‘Anyway from the tests it looks like your are about three months along. Let me schedule an appointment with you in a month for your first ultrasound.’

It was the night before the wake and Kian showed up at the door of the apartment. Nina opened the door. ‘Come on in, she’s sleeping.’ Nina said opening the door. ‘Here’s her room, you can wake her up. I’m sure she’d be happy to see you.’ Kerrie had only told Nina and Dan that she was pregnant. She was going to tell her parents and family after the funeral. Kian smiled as he watched her asleep. Her eyes fluttered open at the light. ‘Kian, what are you doing here?’ She asked suprised sitting up. Kian hadn’t seen her in a month but she did have a small bump that was only noticeable if she wore fitted clothes. ‘I figured you could use the support.’ ‘Nina told you to come didn’t she?’ ‘I wanted to come before she asked. How are you?’ ‘Ok, it’s settled in.’ She said motioning her him to sit next to her on the bed. Nina wandered down the hallway knowing what was going to be talked about. ‘I have some news.’ She said standing up and moving to the side. Kian looked at her confused. ‘Dan must have lied to me again. Kian, I’m pregnant.’ She said sitting back down. ‘You are?’ ‘Yea, the doctor said I’m about 3 months along. Dan said I was starting to show but he’s always-’ She was cut off by Kian kissing her. ‘Come over here.’ He said pulling her on his lap. ‘I take it your happy.’ ‘This is perfect. We’re gonna have a family.’ He said resting a hand on her stomach. ‘Come on, I want to go yell at Dan.’ Kerrie said getting up and going into the kitchen where Nina and Dan were talking over a beer. ‘Here she comes, waddling down the hall.’ Dan said smirking. ‘Shut up you. Kian couldn’t even tell.’ Kerrie said with her hands on her hips. ‘Ki, come over here. Look from this angle.’ Nina said. Kian stood over by the table. ‘Maybe a little bit.’ ‘Hey, don’t take his side.’ She said playfully hitting him. ‘I better get back to bed tomorrow is going to be a long day. Kian, you can stay up and talk to them if you want.’ She said sticking out her tongue and walking into her room. ‘Sorry guys, I better go too.’ Kian said going back down the hallway.

April 2003

Kian had rejoined the group after the funeral. Kerrie was doing ok, Dan offered to move out so she could make his room into a nursery. Kerrie’s family loved Kian and were happy to hear there would be a new addition to the family soon. Kerrie was coming to visit in a week after her doctors appointment so they could tell everyone. All the guys knew something was going on because Kian was in a great mood all of the time. When Kerrie arrived Ellie met her at the airport. ‘Wow... you actually dressed casual for once.’ Ellie said laughing. ‘Yea, I wanted to be comfortable.’ A driver took them to the venue where Westlife had just finished a sound check. Mark was on the phone with Yuri who he hadn’t spoken to in almost a month. ‘Should we tell them?’ Kian said hugging her and Kerrie just nodded. ‘Guys and Ellie, we have some news!’ Kian said loudly as everyone came over. ‘We’re having a baby.’ Kerrie said grinning as Kian hugged her from behind resting his hands on her growing stomach. ‘Holy shit.’ ‘What?’ Yuri asked. Mark was in shock so Kerrie took the phone. ‘Yuri, Kian and I are having a baby.’ ‘Oh my... congratulations. What is Mark doing?’ ‘He’s in shock. Hey Mark, can you talk to Yuri now?’ Kerrie asked laughing and he managed to nod. ‘Ok, here he is.’ ‘That’s why your dressed in a baggy sweatshirt.’ Ellie said hugging Kerrie. ‘I had to, I’m getting chubby.’ She said pulling her sweatshirt off to reveal her round stomach covered by a tee shirt. ‘When are you due? ‘Early October.’ ‘Who else knows?’ ‘Only my family, Dan, Nina, you guys and Kian’s family. I haven’t told Tim yet, he’ll give me an earful I know it.’ ‘Hey, you deserve some time off.’ ‘Dan’s mom said that. Kathy is so excited, you’d think it was her grandchild. Well... it’ll be her son’s godchild.’ ‘Ohh... you two already picked.’ ‘I told Kian I wanted Dan and Nina to be the godparents the night I told him I was pregnant. Hey, I’m the one that has to waddle around for the next 5 months.’ Kerrie said laughing. ‘Do you know if it’s a boy or girl?’ ‘I want to be surprised but I have a feeling it’s a girl.’ ‘What does Nina think of this?’ ‘Her and her oh-so married boyfriend are trying to have a baby. His wife doesn’t want to have any children, he has two from his first marriage, twins.’ ‘That sounds a little bit risky.’ ‘He’s known for his cheating. He cheated on his first wife with the women he’s with now. Nina says she loves him so I have to respect that. He’s a good dad to his kids so maybe it’ll work out for them.’ ‘Who yea talking about?’ Kian asked giving Kerrie a kiss on the cheek. ‘Nina, and her crazy decisions.’ ‘Come one, Louis is here. I want to go talk to him.’ ‘Talk to you later, Ellie.’ Kerrie said as Kian pulled her towards the backstage area.

3 weeks later all of the girls were flying to Germany to celebrate the exciting news. Kerrie was excited to see Yuri and Camilla who she hadn’t seen in awhile. ‘Come on, Spaz. We can find you an outfit.’ Yuri said as the girls walked around a shopping area trying to find clothes to wear out that night. ‘I’m getting so fat.’ Kerrie said grumbling as she looked through the racks of clothes. ‘Camilla do you know who’s in town?’ Kerrie asked with a smile. ‘Who?’ ‘Oliver James, Tim is his agent. He’s staying at the same hotel as us. I was thinking of setting up a little meeting.’ Camilla just smiled. ‘Come on, it’ll be great. When’s the last time you got to talk to a very attractive guy.’ Lise said as Camilla shrugged. ‘Yea, it’ll be fun.’ Yuri said as she joined the conversation. ‘Yuri, you’ll be the next one I’ll set up.’ ‘I don’t need to be set up on a date.’ Yuri said laughing. ‘Neither do I.’ Camilla said holding up a shirt for Kerrie to look at. ‘Oh, that’s nice. I think that’ll cover my stomach.’ Kerrie said. After another hour of shopping they went back to the hotel to start getting ready. Kerrie took Camilla to meet Oliver. They talked while Kerrie told Tim she was pregnant. He took it better then expected and started talking about her doing some maternity shots. Back in the hotel room Ellie had called Lusia. Nicky had talked to her about what happened and Ellie offered to talk to Lusia first. ‘Hi Lusia, it’s Ellie. I guess your not home. The girls and I are in Germany with the guys. Kerrie and Kian are having a baby so we’re celebrating. By now you’ve probably heard Nix and I are engaged. He missed you Lusia and is really sorry for the way he acted. Please return his calls. Bye.’ That night the girls went out to eat and to see a movie. When they got back to the hotel Camilla went to go have a drink with Oliver while the rest of the girls went back to Kerrie’s room to relax until the guys got back from the concert.

June 2003

Shane and Kim started spending a lot of time together during the break after the tour. They were constantly out horse back riding or over each other’s houses watching TV. ‘Shane, this is a great place. I’m surprise I haven’t stumbled upon it.’ Kim said as they were out walking one day. ‘It’s hard to find. My nephew found it one day during hide and seek.’ The area was a small open area in the woods that had wild flowers growing every where. ‘I love Sligo, it’s just so much more relaxing.’ ‘Why aren’t you in Dublin with Bryan?’ ‘I’m going to visit him next weekend. He wanted to spend some time with old friends. He could have come and visit me here. It seems like I always have to go to him.’ ‘That’s the way Bryan is. He always wants things his way.’ Shane said laughing. ‘Is Amanda coming?’ ‘She couldn’t get any time off work. I wanted to visit her but she’s busy right now and didn’t want me to spend all my time alone.’ ‘See... I like that you guys can at least meet half way. It would be nice if Bryan tried that, even if it was just once.’ Nicky and Lusia were talking again. They were not as close as before but they were at least starting to talk again and slowly getting over the fight. Nicky was in London spending time with Ellie and then she was going back to Ireland with him for a week. Mark went to Denmark to spend some time with Lise. Camilla and Oliver had kept in touch and were talking all the time. They weren’t officially dating but there was sparks between them.

Kian was in Boston to spend some time with Kerrie’s family and to go to her next appointment with her. ‘Kian, look at this. Before Dan moved out he made a nursery for me.’ Kerrie said opening the door to the room across the hall from her. ‘Wow... this is great. What if the baby is a boy?’ ‘No way, she is way to easy going. She’s not a kicker.’ ‘Boys can be mild tempered.’ ‘Ha... if we were having a son he’d be a hot head like you.’ Kerrie said laughing. ‘I’m not the only one with a temper.’ Kian said kissing the top of Kerrie’s head. ‘This is funny. Who made this?’ Kian said holding up a CD of all slow Bon Jovi songs that was sitting on the table. ‘Mike, he figured that would be the music I’d play to put the baby to bed.’ ‘Geez that’s nice. What about Westlife?’ ‘She’s a Bon Jovi fan, I can feel her move when I listen to any of their CD’s.’ Kerrie put the CD in the player and pushed play. She put Kian’s hand on her stomach. ‘Wow, your right. I think we are going to have a girl, she’s taking after her mom.’ Kian said laughing. ‘At least she has my taste in music.’ Kerrie said giggling. ‘Hey... I have good taste in music.’ Kian said trying not to laugh as Kerrie gave him a look. ‘Where’s Nina?’ ‘In Florida with with JD.’ ‘So I take it you still don’t like him?’ ‘No, he’s a jerk. What decent guy would cheat on the mother of his children then marry the mistress. Now he’s messing around with Nina and he just married the mistress.’ ‘That doesn’t sound right.’ ‘She said he loves her but I doubt it. He just thinks about getting laid.’ Kerrie said walking out of the room. ‘I just think she’s gonna get hurt.’ Kerrie said as she went to go get her jacket. ‘Hurry up, Kian.’ Kerrie said opening the door. ‘Oh yea.’ Kian said getting his coat and following her to the car.

August 2003

Westlife were back to work doing appearances and shows. Kerrie was visiting her Aunt Nancy in the hospital while she was in for a kidney infection. ‘You look good, how do you feel?’ Kerrie asked her Aunt while sitting in a chair. ‘I’m ok, your looking good. The baby will be here soon enough.’ She said smiling. ‘Yea, I’m so excited.’ Kerrie said grinning. ‘I hear Nina is having a baby too.’ ‘Yea, her and her boyfriend were trying.’ ‘I always knew you two would have babies around the same time.’ ‘Do you know when your gonna get out of here?’ Kerrie asked. ‘Who knows? I’ve been in here for 2 days and I feel better but I guess my counts aren’t where they should be.’ ‘Will you need another transfusion?’ ‘I doubt it, the doctor gave me a Procrit shot this morning so that should help. You need to stop worrying about me and worry about yourself.’ Her Aunt said smiling. Nancy was Kerrie’s godmother and since she had three sons Kerrie was like a daughter to her. ‘So... when will Kian be back?’ ‘Not till a week before the baby is due.’ ‘Are you ok being alone in the house? You could always stay with Jerry at the house.’ ‘I’m ok, Nina is coming back today until after the baby’s born.’ ‘Hopefully you don’t have the baby sooner then expected.’ ‘You know that never happens in this family. The babies are always on time or late.’ Kerrie said laughing. ‘Like you, 5 days late. I would have liked you to have been born on my birthday.’ ‘I would have liked that too.’ A nurse poked her head into the room. ‘Miss, visiting hours are over. I’m sorry.’ ‘I better get going. I’m going to stop by to say hi the Uncle Jerry before I meet Brenda and Jo for dinner.’ ‘Don’t push yourself, tell the girls I said hi.’ ‘I will. I’ll call tomorrow to check on you and I’ll stop by Monday with Nina.’ ‘Ok, bye.’ ‘Bye.’ Kerrie said giving her a hug before she headed to her car.

Early the next morning Kerrie was awoken by the ringing phone. ‘Hello?’ Kerrie mumbled. ‘Kerrie, it’s your mother. Jerry....Jerry just called me.’ ‘Mom, what’s the matter? Is Aunt Nancy ok?’ Kerrie asked frantically sitting up in bed. ‘She passed away early this morning.’ ‘No, not this can’t be happening.’ Kerrie said as tears started to fall from her eyes. ‘I’ll stop by later when I have more news.’ ‘Ok, mom.’ Kerrie said hanging up the phone as she started sobbing. Nina poked her head into the room. ‘Kerrie?’ ‘She-she’s gone.’ Kerrie said laying down and pulling the sheets over her head. ‘Nancy?’ Nina asked shocked. ‘Yea, she was doing good yesterday.’ Kerrie said turning to face Nina. ‘Kerrie, I’m so sorry. This is terrible loosing two family members so close together.’ Nina said sitting on the edge of her bed. ‘So you want me to call Kian?’ Nina asked holding back tears that were threatening to fall. Kerrie nodded as Nina went into the room. Nina dialed Kian’s cell phone and he picked it up after a ring. ‘Hello?’ ‘Hi Kian.’ ‘Hi Nina, how yea doing?’ ‘I’m ok, Kerrie’s not so great. Her aunt passed away this morning.’ ‘She did? How is she holding up?’ ‘This is going to be really hard on her. More so then her grandfather.’ Nina said as tears started to fall. ‘Alright, I’m going to try to get some time off to come over for the funeral. Tell Kerrie that I’ll call her later.’ ‘Ok.’ Nina hung up the phone. Kian called back that night and was on the phone with Kerrie for almost two hours. He couldn’t make it to the funeral so Kerrie was planning on going alone. Nina knew how hard it was going to be for Kerrie so she got in touch with Orlando and worked it out so he could make it up for the wake and funeral. At the wake everyone kept telling Kerrie how much she looked like her aunt. Orlando was a huge support for her, he was great about listening to her talk about her aunt and even helped her with the speech she was going to give at the funeral mass. At the funeral Kerrie managed to finish her speech before she broke down in tears. After moping around the house for two days Kayte bought Kerrie a ticket to London to meet up with Kian.

Ch 21

Kian was thrilled to see Kerrie again. He managed to keep her busy by having his sister and mother visit so the three of them could go shopping. Three days after she arrived Kerrie was laying on the bed in the hotel resting. ‘Kerrie, I was thinking.... maybe you could move to Ireland and stay with me.’ Kian said from his spot in a chair. ‘Move to Ireland? Kian, it’s great country but I’m not sure I’d be able to live there away from my family.’ Kerrie said sitting up. ‘But you’d be with me. Wouldn’t it be better that we could all be together?’ Kian asked. ‘I’d like to be with you all the time but what about Nina? I can’t leave her alone.’ Kerrie said trying to stand up. ‘Nina can stay with her boyfriend. I thought you wanted the three of us to be a family.’ Kian said getting aggravated. ‘I do but I’m not ready to move out of Boston and away from my family. I’m gonna need a lot of help from my mom so I want to be near her.’ Kerrie said. ‘If you move to Ireland my mum will be around.’ ‘Kian, that’s not the same. When a girl has her first baby she wants and needs her mom to help her.’ ‘I think it’s the same, my mum could help you.’ Kerrie put her hands on her back. ‘It’s just not. You don’t understand any of this.’ She said with tears starting to form in her eyes. ‘Why are you getting so upset? You spend some much time over here it only makes sense-’ ‘No it doesn’t.’ She snapped. ‘I don’t want to live here.’ She said as tears fell from her eyes and she stormed out of the room. Kerrie was walking out of the hotel when she saw Ellie and Nicky who were returning from a shopping trip. ‘Spaz, what’s the matter?’ Ellie said hurrying over to her. ‘Kian and I got into a fight.’ She said trying to stop her tears but they only fell harder. ‘I’ll bring these up to the room.’ Nicky said taking Ellie’s bags and walking to the elevator. ‘What did you have a fight about?’ Ellie said as they walked over to sit down. ‘He wants me to move to Ireland with him.’ Kerrie said as she started to calm down. ‘I tried to explain to him that I’d miss my family and I’ll need my mom to help me with the baby.’ ‘I’m sure he’ll understand.’ Ellie said as they noticed Kian talking to Nicky by the elevators. ‘I just can’t talk to him right now.’ Kerrie said turning her back to him as she sniffled. As the guys looked their way Ellie motioned for them not to come over. The girls talked for a little bit before Lusia joined them to get something to eat.

‘I have exciting news.’ Ellie said after dinner when the girls were sitting around in Kerrie and Kian’s room. ‘What is it?’ Kerrie asked. ‘Nicky and I set a date for the wedding.’ Ellie said grinning. ‘When is it?’ Lusia asked. ‘February 10th.’ ‘That’s great. Kayte and Mike are planning for early December. There will be so many weddings soon.’ Kerrie said happily. ‘What about you and Kian?’ Lusia asked. ‘Us getting married?’ Kerrie asked trying not to laugh. ‘Not anytime soon.’ She said as there was a knock on the door. Lusia got up to get it. ‘Are you girls still hanging around?’ Nicky asked walking in with Kian behind him. ‘I just told the girls the news.’ Ellie said getting up and going to give Nicky a quick kiss. ‘Kerrie said Mike and Kayte are going to get married in December.’ Lusia said to break the weird silence that had settled on the room. ‘That’s good.’ Nicky said giving Ellie and Lusia a look that they should go. ‘I better get going. I have to br in work early tomorrow.’ Lusia said getting up. ‘We’ll walk you out.’ Nicky said. ‘See yea later, Kerrie.’ Lusia said giving her a hug. ‘Yea, have a good night. See you two tomorrow.’ ‘Night.’ They all left the room and Kerrie looked away from Kian’s gaze. ‘I’m sorry.’ Kian mumbled sitting on the edge of the chair across from her. Kerrie just gave him a look that said she didn’t believe him. ‘Maybe I was a little insensitive earlier. I really don’t understand everything your going through but I want what's best for our family.’ Kian said taking her hand. ‘I know you do but this is where we see things differently.’ Kerrie said pulled her hand away. ‘You lived in LA for two years. That’s not close to your family.’ ‘That’s when I traveled all the time. I was constantly in Boston visiting them of flying them out to see me.’ Kerrie said watching him as he got up and moved the chair closer to her. ‘We could fly them over here or you could visit them often.’ ‘It’s going to be hard to travel with a newborn.’ ‘I know it’s going to be difficult that’s why I want you two to be here with me so I can be with you.’ ‘Kian, I need to be with my family. It’ll break my mother’s heart if she’s not there to help me.’ ‘Then they could stay with us-’ ‘Kian, I understand where your coming from but I made up my mind.’ Kerrie said softly.

September 2003

Kim was in England visiting Bryan but he wasn’t around much. He was off visiting friends and going out at night. Kim spent much of her time in Shane’s company. ‘I think Bryan’s crazy.’ Shane said looking at Kim from her spot on the couch. ‘Why is that?’ ‘You can here to visit him and he leaves you at the hotel with nothing to do.’ Shane said sitting down next to her. ‘I’m lucky Amanda’s not here visiting you.’ She said as their bodies moved closer. ‘Yea.’ Shane managed to whisper as their lips met in a kiss. As the kiss deepened they didn’t even here the door open. ‘Shane!’ The broke apart and Shane turned to see Amanda standing there with her bags. ‘What the hell is going on?’ Amanda asked dropping her bags. ‘Umm...well-’ ‘How long has this been going on?’ ‘Amanda, it was just a kiss.’ ‘Just a kiss, you two were practically in bed.’ Amanda said as she picked her her bags. ‘This is all getting mixed up. Amanda, it was really just a a kiss.’ Kim said jumping up from the couch. ‘I just can’t deal with this right now. I wanted to spend some time with you before all the girls leave for the US for Kerrie’s baby shower. I’ll leave you two alone.’ Amanda said going back out the door. ‘Damn... what did we do?’ Shane said as he got up to go after her. ‘All of the girls are going to the airport in an hour.’ Kim managed to get out before the door slammed. Kim grabbed her jacket and bag and started out the door to see Bryan, Shane, and Amanda arguing in the hallway. ‘Shane, what the fuck!’ Bryan bellowed. ‘Amanda just told me what she saw.’ Bryan stopped when he noticed Kim at the door. ‘We kissed.’ Kim said calmly. ‘You kissed? Why?’ Bryan said looking from Shane to Kim. ‘You never pay any attention to me.’ Kim mumbled. ‘Oh so that means you can go kiss Shane.’ ‘Bryan, it was mutual.’ Shane said. ‘This is just a little bit to dramatic. If it was just a kiss I don’t think it’s a big deal.’ Bryan said walking to his door. ‘Can we talk before I go?’ ‘Where are you going?’ ‘All of the girls are going to Kerrie’s baby shower, I told you this morning.’ ‘Oh yea, come on.’ He opened the door and went in. ‘I can’t forgive you that easily. To me it didn’t look like just a kiss. You two were enjoying it.’ Amanda said pressing the button for the elevator. ‘Can we at least talk about this?’ ‘I’ll call you when I get back.’ ‘Next week?’ ‘Shane, I’m only going to Boston for 5 days. I promise I’ll call you when I get back; once I get settled.’ She said before stepping into the elevator and pressing the button for the lobby.

Early the next morning Ellie, Amanda, Lise, Camilla, Kim, and Lusia were at Logan airport in Boston. Yuri was also coming to the baby shower and was coming in shortly. ‘This is the first time I’ve been to the US.’ Ellie said looking around the crowded airport. ‘Kerrie said this place is crazy. I think she said Kayte was coming to meet us.’ Camilla said looking at the list of flights. ‘Look Yuri’s flight is coming landing in Gate D.’ Ellie said picking up her bags. ‘Are we going to find Yuri then look for Kayte?’ Lise asked confused. ‘Kerrie said she’d meet us at baggage.’ Lusia said looking at the information she wrote down when she spoke to Kerrie the day before. The girls walked down to Gate D and saw Yuri walking off the plane. ‘Hey girls!’ She said giving Ellie a hug. ‘Did you have a good fight?’ ‘It was ok. I’m so excited to see Kerrie. I haven’t seen her in almost a year.’ ‘Oh look, there’s a sigh for baggage.’ Kim said pointing to a sign. All the girls got down to the baggage claim to see Kayte and Mike waiting for them. ‘Hey girls!’ Kayte said grinning. ‘How was your flight?’ Mike asked. ‘Good, how’s Kerrie doing?’ ‘She’s good, I know she knows about the baby shower but she’s not sure when it is.’ ‘Who else is coming?’ Lise asked looking for her bag. ‘Kristen Richardson and Leighann Littrell are flying in the night before. Some models are flying in that day. Kian’s family is coming in the night before.’ Kayte said. Mike noticed the girls trying to get bags and he managed to get a few of them right away while the rest came through later. ‘So... Kim, Amanda, and Yuri your going to stay at my parents place. You’ll each have your own room. It’s about 3 blocks away from Kerrie’s condo. Ellie, Camilla, Lise, and Lusia your going to stay at Kerrie’s condo. There are two guest rooms one has bunk beds and the other has two twin beds.’ After about 30 minutes of bag searching everyone had their things. Mike drove the girls staying at Kerrie’s parents house they were going to drop off their bags and meet Kerrie’s parents before going to Kerrie’s condo for breakfast. Kayte drove the girls to Kerrie’s condo when they got there both Nina and Kerrie were outside. ‘Ker, your suppose to be on bed rest.’ Kayte said. ‘Look at you two.’ Ellie said getting out of the car. Kerrie was 8 months pregnant and looked like she was ready to burst and Nina was only 6 months pregnant but was pretty big. ‘I better not drink the water here.’ Camilla said jokingly. ‘Are you really on bed rest?’ Ellie asked. ‘Yea, but I thought I could help.’ ‘You two get upstairs, there is no way that you two can help us.’ Lusia said laughing. ‘It’s the thought that counts.’ Nina said waddling to the door. The girls held the elevator and by the time they got to the condo Kerrie was exhausted. ‘I can’t wait till the baby’s born.’ She grumbled sitting down and putting her feet up.

Ch 23

The next two days were filled with laughs as the girls talked about the babies and the upcoming weddings. On Sunday was the baby shower. A stretch limo picked the girls up and drove them to the Ritz for brunch. When they walked through the door Kerrie started crying. ‘Kayte and Mom, you guys didn’t have to do this.’ She said hugging both of them. ‘We wanted to, you deserve it. Patricia helped us too.’ Ellen said helping Kerrie to the table. ‘Thanks Patricia.’ ‘It’s a shame that Kian couldn’t be here. I gave him an earful and half.’ She said half smiling. ‘I know he’d be complaining. Every baby shower I went to the guys complained.’ Kerrie said laughing. ‘Let’s get this started.’ Kayte said as everyone took their seats. After a long afternoon of talking, playing games, eating, and opening gifts Kerrie fell asleep on the ride back to the condo. ‘Who would have guessed that one of these would be so much work?’ Nina said smiling. ‘Hey I shouldn’t talk at the end of the day I’m exhausted walking around with the extra weight.’ ‘Shh...’ Kayte said giving Nina a look. When they pulled up to the condo Mike and Dan were there to help bring everything in from the limo and Kerrie’s mother’s SUV. When they got settled Ellie called Nicky. ‘Hey hunny.’ Nicky said answering his cell. ‘How’s the video going?’ ‘Ok, then we have some recording to do. How was the baby shower?’ ‘Fun, it took three cars to get everything back here. Kerrie’s exhausted.’ ‘I bet she is, Nina keeps sending Kian pictures of her and she looks ready to burst.’ ‘She tells us that everyday.’ ‘Kian, I don’t know.’ Nicky said into the phone. ‘Is Kerrie there?’ ‘She’s asleep, she fell asleep on the ride back here.’ ‘See she’s asleep. Now can you let me talk for a minute.’ Nicky said laughing. ‘Aww... that’s cute.’ Ellie said. ‘You think it’s cute. He drives me crazy sometimes.’ Nicky said laughing. ‘Tell him that Nina will be sending some pictures later.’ ‘Ok, I better get back to work.’ ‘Alright talk to yea later. I love you.’ ‘Love you too.’ They hung up as Nina came into the room frantic.

‘They know.’ She said to Kayte. ‘Who knows? Knows what?’ Kayte asked confused. ‘Someone found out that I’m having Johnny’s baby.’ Nina said nervously. She handed Kayte the threatening e-mail she recieved. ‘Maybe his wife sent this.’ ‘Michelle isn’t this bright.’ Nina said sitting on the couch. ‘Did he tell anyone?’ ‘No, I don’t think he wants people to know.’ ‘What are you guys talking about?’ Mike asked sipping a beer. ‘Someone found out Nina is having Johnny’s baby.’ ‘Your having Johnny Damon’s baby?’ Mike asked shocked and Nina just nodded guilty. ‘Who knows?’ ‘Only Kerrie and Kayte knew. I just got this freaky e-mail.’ ‘There is decent security here so your safe. Did you call him yet?’ ‘He’s gonna have a fit. I know he’s gonna tell me to move into his apartment up here.’ Kerrie walked into the room yawning. ‘What’s all the fuss about?’ She mumbled. ‘Ker, someone found out.’ Nina said handing her the e-mail. ‘Shit, go call him. He’ll know what to do.’ Nina left the room as Kerrie sat on the couch. ‘Isn’t that the same guy that asked you to have his baby?’ Ellie asked confused. ‘Yup.’ Kerrie said shaking her head. ‘They’ve been seeing each other for months, even after he just got married.’ ‘Ker, turn on NESN.’ Nina said coming into the room. Kerrie flipped on the sports channel to see a picture of Nina and Johnny in a heated kiss. ‘Kerrie, what am I gonna do?’ Nina asked sobbing. ‘Nina, it’s gonna be ok. Mike can you go talk to security and ask the manager to come up here when he has a chance.’ Mike headed out the door as everyone else gathered in the living room. ‘What did Johnny say?’ ‘I couldn’t get him. Michelle picked up the phone so I hung up and he’s not answering his cell.’ Nina said crying harder. ‘You have to calm down. It’s not good for the baby.’ Kerrie said getting up and going to the phone book. ‘What are you gonna do?’ ‘Call his agent Scott. He can start working on PR or something.’ Kerrie said dialing a number.

Ch 24

Later that week... Johnny and Nina had gone public with the whole relationship. Michelle filed for a divorce and moved out of his house. Nina moved into his condo at the new Ritz for safety issues. Most of his fans were taking it better then expected. Nina continued getting the hate e-mails and surprisingly Boston police were working on the case. Amanda, Yuri, and Kim had flown home on Monday after the baby shower. The other girls were staying for awhile. On Wednesday everyone woke up to a loud scream. Ellie ran into Kerrie’s room to see her sitting on the bed with a shocked look on her face. ‘What happened?’ Ellie asked as everyone else joined her. ‘My water just broke.’ Kerrie said nervously. ‘Alright, everyone get dressed fast. Lise call Kayte and I’ll call Kian.’ Everyone got dressed quickly and got Kerrie outside. Dan pulled up 2 minutes later Ellie got in the car with her and the others waited for Kayte. Ellie was still on the phone with Kian who was freaking out. ‘Is she ok? Is she ok?’ He kept asking. ‘She’s ok, we’re going to the hospital. Can you get here?’ ‘Yea, I’m gonna get there as fast as I can. Here talk to Nicky for a minute while I try to get a flight.’ ‘Holy shit!’ Kerrie screamed. ‘Spaz, you better not have this baby in my car or I’ll kill you.’ Dan said laughing. ‘It’s not funny, it hurts!’ Kerrie said with tears rolling down her cheeks. ‘Kian is about to have a heart attack.’ Nicky said coming onto the phone. ‘I’m gonna kill him I swear.’ Kerrie said as the contraction finally ended. ‘Did you hear that? She said she’s gonna kill him.’ Ellie said as Dan sped towards Mass General. ‘Ok, I’ll let him know. Know what many she can tell him that.’ Nicky said. ‘Ker, we’re almost there.’ Dan said running a red light then a stop sign as he pulled into the ambulance unloading area. ‘It looks like he’s having to charter a private flight cause there’s so seats open.’ Nicky said as Dan helped Kerrie out of the car and into a wheelchair. As they wheeled her in Kerrie’s parents came hurrying in after followed by Patricia. ‘How is she?’ Ellen asked Dan. ‘She said that she’s gonna kill Kian. I think she’s doing good, typical Spaz.’ He said smirking as she glared at him before they wheeled her down the hall. Ellen and Patricia went with her while John, Dan, and Ellie waited for the others.

‘Ellie, how is she now?’ Kian said coming back on the phone. ‘Ok, we’re at the hospital. A nurse took her to a room, her mom and your mom went with her.’ ‘Alright, we’re all on our way to the hotel to grab our bags then to the airport. I’ll call to check in before the flight leaves.’ ‘Ok, I’ll tell her.’ ‘Bye.’ Kayte, Mike, Camilla, and Lise came hurrying into the lobby. ‘She’s in a room.’ John said calmly. ‘Your awful calm for your first grandchild.’ Mike said laughing. ‘Someone has to be.’ He said shrugging. ‘When Kian gets here she wants to kill him.’ Dan said laughing. ‘Did Nina get here yet?’ ‘Haven’t seen her.’ Ellie said. ‘Is Mr. Baseball coming with her?’ Dan asked. ‘Who knows? I’m going down the hall. Dad, can you stay here until Nina comes?’ ‘Yea.’ Everyone walked down the hall to see Kerrie sitting on the bed watching TV. ‘What did the doctor say?’ Kayte asked. ‘Hasn’t come in yet.’ Ellen said from her spot in a chair. ‘It may be awhile.’ Patricia said looking out the window. ‘I think this baby needs to come out now.’ Kerrie said. ‘Kian and the guys are heading to the airport. He said he’d call to check in before the flight leaves.’ A few minutes later John and Nina walked into the room. ‘How yea holding up?’ Nina asked sitting on the edge of the bed. ‘Alright for now, on the car ride here I thought I was gonna die.’ She said. ‘Where’s Johnny?’ ‘Game tonight, he’s at batting practice. I called him and he said he’d stop by later.’ ‘He doesn’t need to, there are plently of people here.’ Kerrie wasn’t a fan of him because of him moving Nina out of the condo.

Ch 25

About 15 minutes later Danny mother, Kathy, came walking trough the door. ‘How are you hunny?’ ‘I’m ok.’ ‘What have the doctors said?’ ‘She should be coming in soon.’ ‘This place can be so damn slow. Do you need anything?’ ‘I think I’m good for now.’ ‘Alright.’ A doctor appeared in the door so everyone went outside for a few minutes. The doctor checked her out and everything looked good. They were going to wait for the baby to dilate a few more degrees before anything to happen. Kian called Ellie during this time. ‘How is she?’ He asked breathlessly. ‘She’s doing ok, you don’t sound too good.’ ‘Just hurrying to get my stuff together.’ ‘The doctor just went in to check on her. Hang on your mom wants to talk to you.’ ‘Kian, I told you that you should have stayed. I’m sure Kerrie’s not happy to be doing this on her own. How will you feel if you miss the birth of your first child?’ Everyone stopped what they were doing and tried to listen to the conversation. ‘She was the one who told me to do the video.’ Kian said. ‘It’s a good thing that she has so many friends and family with her now.’ ‘Can I talk to her now?’ Patricia looked at the door that was opening. ‘Hang on a minute. Can we go in doctor?’ ‘Go ahead, it looks like it’s gonna be a while.’ Patricia went into the room. ‘It’s Kian.’ Kerrie took the phone. ‘Hello?’ ‘Hi hunny, how are you?’ ‘Ok for now, until the next contraction.’ ‘I’ll be there as soon as I can. We’re getting the plane ready to go. The pilot said the flight be about 8 hours.’ ‘Ok, I’ll see you when you get here.’ ‘Love you.’ ‘Love you too.’ Kerrie clicked off the phone and gave it back to Ellie. ‘When will he be here?’ Asked Kayte. ‘In about 8 hours.’ About a half an hour later Kian called back. ‘Hello?’ ‘We’re stuck here for a little while. The pilot has to fix something with the engine. Kian looked for a flight and managed to go one in about an hour. Is everything going ok?’ Nicky asked. ‘Everything’s going good here. We have a large crowd in the room. The doctor said it might be awhile anyway.’ ‘I hope Kian gets there in time or he’s gonna be majorley bummed.’ ‘I hope so too.’ ‘I’m gonna go check on the plane. I’ll call you later.’ ‘I love you.’ ‘Love you too.’

Over the next 8 hours Kerrie had some serious contractions. ‘Ok, it’s time. Let’s get you down to delivery. Who is going with her?’ The doctor asked. ‘I will.’ Ellen said. ‘Ok, follow me. Everyone else can go wait in the private waiting room down the hall. Danny and Ellie had gone to airport to meet Kian who would be arriving soon. ‘I hope he gets here.’ Patricia said pacing in the waiting room. ‘I’m sure he will. As long as his plane lands soon Dan will get him here in time.’ Mike said playing with his cell phone. ‘This is so nerve racking.’ Nina said chewing on a candy bar. ‘The Sox are winning.’ Mike said jumping up. ‘Ortiz just hit a grand slam.’ ‘Mike.’ Kayte said giving him a look as she continued pacing. ‘Holy shit!’ Came a loud scream. ‘I’m guessing the baby’s almost here. That’s what I have to look forward to. I’m screwed, Spaz has a much higher pain level then I do.’ Nina said getting up. ‘I’m gonna call Dan again.’ Kayte said calling him for the third time. The first time they were in traffic getting into the airport and the second time they were waiting for his plane. ‘Danny, where are you?’ Kayte asked frantically. ‘His plane’s been delayed.’ Dan said in a mumble. ‘Why is it delayed?’ ‘Ellie went to go find out. Nicky just called her they are finally in the air, about 2 hours into the flight.’ ‘Call me when you find out anything.’ ‘It says a two hour delay.’ ‘If it’s any more come back here and Mike and I can always go get him.’ ‘Alright, I’ll call you back.’ ‘Bye.’ Kayte hung up the phone. ‘How long?’ Patricia asked. ‘At least 2 hours, Ellie went to find out the details. The other guys are on the plane about 2 hours into flight.’ John came walking into the room. ‘I’m a granddad!’ He said happily hugging Kayte. ‘A girl?’ ‘Yea. They will be moving her down the hallway in a little while.’ ‘Is she and the baby ok?’ Patricia asked. ‘They are both doing great. I’m gonna go call Susan.’ John took off down the hallway to call his sister. Ellen came into the room with a huge smile on her face. ‘She is perfect.’ She said hugging Kayte then Patricia. ‘Where’s Kian?’ Ellen asked taking a seat. ‘His plane’s been delayed.’ Nina said moving to the door.

Ch 26

Kerrie was moved into a room and everyone took turns going to visit her and the baby. ‘Hello?’ ‘Kayte, we’re on our way back. The plane had to stop in NY because of problems. Kian called Ellie and the earliest flight is in 3 hours and he’s on it.’ ‘Kerrie had the baby, she’s beautiful. I’ll have her call Kian.’ ‘We’ll be back at the hospital in about 20.’ ‘Alright.’ Kayte went back into the room. ‘So where is he?’ Kerrie asked sipping some water. ‘In NY, here call him.’ Kayte handed Kerrie her phone and went to go pick up her niece. Kerrie dialed the number and Kian picked up on the first ring. ‘How is she?’ Kian asked quickly. ‘We’re both fine.’ ‘Oh, Kerrie, wow.....’ ‘We had a girl, I was right. Estella Marie is doing great.’ ‘Are you doing ok? Feeling ok?’ ‘I’m tired but good. The guys are on their way finally.’ ‘For my luck they’ll be there before me.’ Kian said glumly. ‘I’ll let you get some rest, see you soon. I love you.’ ‘Love you too.’ Kerrie hung up the phone as Kayte handed her Estella. Nina came into the room. ‘You have some guests.’ Johnny appeared behind her followed by Theo Epstein, the GM of the Red Sox, and Jason Vartiek, the catcher. ‘Hi guys, how was the game?’ ‘Great, Ortiz busted it wide open.’ Johnny said. ‘That’s good.’ ‘All the guys send their best. We brought some stuff.’ Theo said handing her a bag. Kayte opened it for her and it was all Red Sox baby clothes. ‘Thank you, this is really nice. I’ll have Estella wear one of these when we leave to go home.’ ‘Where’s superstar?’ Johnny asked. ‘He’s stuck in NY, he managed to get a flight out of London but it had to land in NY because of some problem.’ ‘It’s better he’s safe.’ Jason said. ‘Do you want to hold her?’ She asked before handing Estella to Jason who managed a nod. ‘Mr. Dad, when are you gonna have another?’ Theo asked. ‘Not for awhile. Two is good for now.’ ‘You know you want a son.’ Johnny said putting a hand on Nina’s stomach as Kerrie gave him a look of disgust. ‘I think she’s gonna be our new mascot.’ Theo said as Jason handed him Estella. ‘What’s her name?’ He asked. ‘Estella Marie Egan a future Sox fan.’ Kerrie said laughing. ‘I bet. John and Larry are already setting up picture day next year and they want you to take the picture again.’ ‘Just give me the date and I’ll be there.’ She said smiling.

About 4 hours later everyone had pretty much gone and Kerrie had fallen asleep. Mike and Kayte went to go pick up Kian whose fight was to be landing soon. Kian was the first one off the plane. ‘Let’s go.’ ‘Don’t you need to get your bag.’ ‘It’s on the plane with the guys.’ Kian said. ‘Alright.’ They drove to the hospital and got there about a half an hour later. Kian peaked in the room to see Kerrie asleep so Kayte showed him the nursery. ‘She’s amazing.’ Kian said looking at his sleeping daughter. ‘Can I go in?’ He asked a nurse. ‘You are?’ ‘Estella’s dad.’ ‘Follow me.’ The nurse took him into a side room and he washed his hands then went to go sit in a rocking chair while the nurse got Estella. Patricia came down the hallway and smiled when she saw Kian holding Estella. ‘He finally got here?’ She asked half laughing. ‘Yea, he was so anxious to get here.’ Mike said leaning against the wall. ‘I need to go take a picture.’ Patricia said knocking on the door. She took a few pictures of Kian holding Estella. About 15 minutes later Kian and Patricia left the nursery and walked towards Kerrie’s room. ‘You guys can head home, I’m gonna stick around for awhile.’ ‘Alright, Patricia do you want a ride back?’ Kayte asked. ‘Yea, I should get some sleep. When are the other guys coming in?’ ‘In about 3 hours. Ellie and the girls are back at the condo sleeping. We called and are having a van pick them up at the hotel.’ Kayte said stopping outside Kerrie’s room. ‘Good luck, she’s gonna be cranky.’ Mike said laughing. ‘If I were you I’d let her sleep for a little while. Don’t worry about the nurses we oked it for you to stick around while you were in with Estella.’ ‘Do you need anything before we go?’ Mike asked. ‘I think I’m good.
