Thank You For Loving Me
Part I of Nicky and Maggie Series

It's hard for me to say the things
I want to say sometimes
There's no one here but you and me
And that broken old street light
Lock the doors
We'll leave the world outside
All I've got to give to you
Are these five words tonight

Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes
When I couldn't see
For parting my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me
Thank you for loving me

Nicky took Maggie’s hand as they walked down the well lit street of London. They had know each other since they were in diapers and had been best friends since. Maggie was the one who supported him when Nicky and Georgina had rough patches and he was there when Rob broke up with her. Maggie was working as a journalist in London for a magazine and Nicky was still living in Dublin and was still in Westlife. ‘Thanks for being such a good friend.’ Nicky said hugging her as they reached her flat. ‘No thank you.’ She said giving him a kiss on the cheek. ‘I better get going my flight leaves in two hours.’ ‘Alright, I’ll call you tomorrow.’ ‘Bye.’ Maggie closed the door and let out a sigh as she took her coat off.

I never knew I had a dream
Until that dream was you
When I look into your eyes
The sky's a different blue
Cross my heart
I wear no disguise
If I tried, you'd make believe
That you believed my lies

Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes
When I couldn't see
For parting my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me

‘Hey Maggie, it’s me Nicky. I kinda hoped you’d be home. Just wanted to share some great news with you. Gina just agreed to marry me. I’ll try back later.’ A single tear slid down her cheek as Maggie heard his voice over the machine. She cared to much about Nicky to stop him from marrying her even though she was in love with him. When he told her about his plans she managed to choke back the tears and complement him on his brillant idea, she only wished he was asking her. Nicky put down the phone and something felt wrong to him. He turned to see Gina smiling happly as she looked at the ring but all he could think about was Maggie.

You pick me up when I fall down
You ring the bell before they count me out
If I was drowning you would part the sea
And risk your own life to rescue me

Lock the doors
We'll leave the world outside
All I've got to give to you
Are these five words tonight

Maggie had been avoiding Nicky’s calls for weeks. She knew it was only a matter of time before he showed up on her door step or at work and she’d have to face him. The night after work she went to a local bar for a few drinks before going home. When the taxi dropped her off infront of her flat she saw him sitting on the steps. ‘Why hello Mr. Bryne.’ She slurred digging her her keys. ‘Maggie, I think you’ve had a bit to much to drink.’ She just glared at him. ‘Like that’s your concern.’ Maggie said opening her door. ‘Can I come in?’ He asked standing up. ‘That isn’t such a good idea right now.’ Maggie said softly. ‘I’m worried about you, Mags. Why haven’t you returned my calls?’ ‘I’ve been busy.’ ‘Oh ok. I’m staying at the usual hotel. Can we meet tomorrow for lunch?’ ‘I don’t know.’ ‘Come on, Maggie. We have a lot to catch up on.’ ‘I guess I can make some time for it.’ ‘Ok, I’ll meet you at your office at 12. Your still my best friend and I love you, Mags.’ Maggie nodded and closed her door. Nicky shook his head and went back to the hotel. Maggie fell on her bed sobbing, she hated acting that way to him but it hurt to much.

Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes
When I couldn't see
You parted my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me

When I couldn't fly
Oh, you gave me wings
You parted my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me

Lyrics from Bon Jovi “Thank You For Loving Me”

Jealous Guy
Part II of Nicky and Maggie Series

I was dreaming of the past,
And my heart was beating fast.
I began to loose control,
I began to loose control.
I didn't mean to hurt you,
Im sorry that I made you cry.
I didn't want to hurt you,
I'm just a jealous guy.

The next day Nicky walked into Maggie’s office to see her flirting with some guy. He looked at her touching his arm and laughing and it made him so mad. Nicky took a deep breath and tried to calm down but it didn’t help. Maggie looked at him but turned her head back to her conversation. ‘Tim, this is my friend Nicky. Nicky, this is Tim.’ Nicky looked at him coldly. ‘Nix, would you mind if Tim joined us?’ ‘Yea, Maggie, I thought we were going to talk.’ Nicky managed to get out as Tim gave Maggie a kiss on the cheek. ‘I guess that I’ll see you for dinner then?’ ‘Yea.’ ‘Ok, I’ll pick you up at 7.’ ‘Bye Tim.’ Tim walked past Nicky brushing him with his shoulder.

I was feeling insecure,
you might not love me anymore.
I was shivering inside,
I was shivering inside.
I didn't mean to hurt you,
I'm sorry that I made you cry.
I didn't want to hurt you,
no I didn't,
I'm just a jealous guy.

‘What the hell was that about?’ Maggie said as she put on her coat. ‘I didn’t want him to come. It was suppose to be us catching up.’ Nicky said as they walked to the door. ‘So now I can’t talk to anyone else?’ Maggie spat as she opened the door. ‘Did I say that? No, I didn’t.’ ‘You sure acted like it. It’s ok for you to have Georgina but I can’t go out with Tim.’ ‘Your going out with him tonight.’ Nicky said as they walked down the block. ‘So how’s the wedding plans going?’ Maggie said giving up on the previous topic. ‘That’s what I wanted to talk to you about.’ Nicky said as they walked into the resturant. ‘Ok.’ Maggie said as the waiter sat them. ‘Well...you see.... there isn’t going to be a wedding anymore.’ Nicky mumbled. ‘Why?’ ‘I realized I wasn’t in love with Gina as much as I was in love with someone else.’ Nicky said looking into Maggie’s eyes. ‘Who’s the lucky girl?’ Maggie managed to get out. Nicky took her hand and kissed it. ‘You are.’

I'm jealous,
Jealous,
Jealous.
I'm jealous,
jealous,
jealous.
I'm jealous,
jealous,
jealous.
I'm jealous,
jealous,
I'm just a jealous guy.

You Had Me From Hello
Part III of the Nicky and Maggie series

At the mirror you fix your hair and put your makeup on
You're insecure about what clothes to wear
I can't see nothing wrong

To me you look so beautiful when you can't make up your mind
It's half past eight, it's getting late
It's OK, take your time

It was a year since Nicky told Maggie about how he felt. They had been a happy couple since that night. Maggie had gotten a promotion and was now the editor of the magazine. They were going to her promotion party and Nicky sat waiting on the couch. He had on a pair of gray dress pants and black sweater. Maggie was running late as usual and she couldn’t decide on what to wear. ‘Mags, I’m sure you’ll look great in whatever you choose.’ Nicky said looking at the paper. ‘Arr.... I can never find what I want.’ She said in frustration. ‘Do you need any help?’ Nicky asked getting up. ‘No, I’m good.’ 10 minutes later Maggie emerged in a black pinstripe suit and black heels. ‘You look amazing.’ Nicky said taking her hand as they walked out the door.

Standing here my hands in my pockets
Like I have a thousand times
Thinking back it took one breath
One word to change my life

The first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello

They got into the waiting car and it took them to the restaurant where the party was being held. All the other lads from Westlife were there as well as several other celebrities. ‘Congrats.’ Gillian said giving her a hug. ‘Thanks.’ ‘We’re all proud of you.’ Shane said giving her a hug. ‘You deserved it.’ Kian said with his arm around Jodie. ‘This is a great party.’ Mark said walking over with a drink. The owner of the magazine, Mr. Wilson, came over and ushered Maggie over to meet some people. ‘Did you ask her yet?’ Shane asked as Nicky shook his head. ‘I know she’ll say yes.’ Gillian said smiling. ‘I’m going to wait till the perfect time.’ Nicky said sipping his drink.

When we walk into a crowded room it's like we're all alone
Everybody tries to kidnap your attention
You just smile and steal the show

You come to me and take my hand
We start dancin' slow
You put your lips up to my ear and whisper way down low

Half way through the night Maggie went up and made a quick speech about her time at the magazine and how great it was to work there. Everyone was clapping for her when she was done. ‘I know Maggie is going to be the best editor the magazine had ever had. She has the determination to make everything work for her and always has great ideas for stories.’ Mr. Wilson said picking up his glass. ‘Let’s have a toast to Maggie. For giving us 5 great years of writting and hopefully many more as editor.’ ‘Cheers!’ Everyone said holding up their glasses. Maggie wasn’t used to this much attention on herself and was just waiting for the night to be over.

From the first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello

And when you're laying down beside me
I feel your heartbeat to remind me...

Once the party had slowed down and everyone started going home Maggie and Nicky left. Once they got into the limo Maggie rested her head on Nicky’s shoulder. ‘I don’t know how you’ve done it this long.’ She said yawning. ‘You get used to it, I guess. I loved your speech.’ ‘Luckily I had one thought up. Thanks for coming tonight.’ She said smiling. ‘I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. I love you.’ He said kissing the top of her head. ‘I love you too.’ ‘Mags?’ ‘Yea.’ She said sitting up. ‘Will you marry me?’ He asked pulling out the ring. ‘Oh Nicky, yes!’ She said kissing him as he slipped it on her finger.

The first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello
From hello
